The climb up is steep and narrow, the steps aren't necessarily even (consider how many times the height of the tower was changed), but it is a worthy effort to reach the top. One of the best things to do in Siena.

The fee is a bit too high, if you think you have to climb 398 steps (and, sometimes, you really need to CLIMB), but the view from there is really awesome, it was worth.

From the top you can view 360 degrees seeing multiple bell towers and cathedrals for a worthwhile view. 10 euros per person seemed a bit steep, excuse the pun.

We took the bus from Florence through the Tuscan countryside - outstanding - to Sienna. This was a well worth bus ride as Sienna is so beautiful. The narrow streets, magnificent square and of course the tower. It's there, you have to climb it. Wow. Once at the top in the bell tower, I think you can see half of central Italy; well worth the climb. The Museum was also very good as your ticket takes you in. We stopped in the square for lunch and enjoyed the winter sunshine and take in the whole atmosphere of Sienna.

Worth the climb! It's a very old tower with 400 steps. The great view from the top deserve the effort to go up, seems to be in paradise and the cost is only 8€ . Bella!

It's fun to go up if you like towers and get a view. It's one way up and down, so it might be very crowded in the high season. Now we were the only one on top. Mind your head, my husband hit his head and got a nasty bleed from it.

I had to really annoy my wife to climb the tower with me. I guess I am either very annoying or very convincing. Regardless we ascended the tower. Being tall, of course she hit her head on an archway on the way up and was giving me grief. As soon as we reached the top, that all stopped as we stood in wonder (and a little bit of fear of heights) at the view. You really get a unique view of all Siena as well as a great view of the surrounding countryside. Siena is such a beautiful city and this is a great way to capture all it has to offer with photographs both mental and actual.....even a selfie if you must.At $10 Euros per adult the price is comparable to other tower climbs in Europe. I'm glad we did it!

It took us a while to climb up there.. The stairs are pretty steep and small. It would definitely be a problem for a tall guy. Though the view was AWESOME definitely well worth it. Though the entrance fee is a bit pricey (10 eur) and there were too many pigeons.. They fly aroun and drop the bomb everywhere.

The Mangia Tower is stunning....and sits right on the city centre square. If you are lucky to have a "blue sky" behind, it will make for absolutely great photos. Sienna is a charming delightful city....you feel like you are in ancient Europe. Well worth the visit.

Height is impressive. Clock and bells work just fine. The city hall as it is now can be visited and the tower climbed.
