We had a nice time in Trento. THE meeting place is generally Piazza Duomo. It is only crowded at night time. And there is local market on Wednesdays

The square is surrounded by mountains, which is very typical and has a Neptun's fountain in the middle. Aside are the Civic Tower and the big Church (where the name of the Square comes from). The pave is a porphyry stone one, which gives a peculiar look in the evening. Try to imagine it: low light with fountain's water reflections which reflexes in the porphyry cubes, everything surrounded by the majesty of the Church and of high mountains! Magical!

The place is nice, but it doesn't meet the expectations. Maybe the touristic information services of the town promise too much.

I like so much trentino, it's great on weekend, it's a little city with beautiful streets and lovely atmosphere, duomo is great and the piazza duomo, it's beautiful so you can really enjoy.

Its surrounded by history. The wonderful painted houses , the ancient church and local government house . There are cafes to sit in and watch the world go by in. Its a big Piazza dominated by the Duomo, well worth the visit as well.

Loved the atmosphere. Very safe to walk around and to enjoy fresh and yummi ice-cream. It's just Walking distance to the river. Lovely music atmosphere. Food is available everywhere around. At last. It's a a high end and classic area with a lot of uni students. The best in Italy.

We arrived at night and the piazza had people sitting around in it's restaurants and bars. It was lively but not too busy. The lighting had an intimate feel. But the morning was beautiful and the piazza looked glorious. The frescos on the buildings and the statute of Neptune and the duomo had an old world charm.

Enjoyed watching a movie being made in front of the fountain. Incredible Piazza, we were there in the morning, would have been interesting to see it when it got busy. I would recommend.

Trento is really a hidden gem. There is so much to see in Italy, that is probably the reason why Trento gets so few attention. It is a bit off the beaten track, but really amazing and worth a visit. It can compete with many other cities in Italy and the world.

When I've been to Trento I got so moved and so chocked by the fact that I was in the place where the Inquisition was created, that I had a nightmare: I dreamed that a dark cloud came out of the Duomo and it started to cover the entire country.

Any trip to Trento has to include a stroll through this piazza. Impressive views, buildings and ambiance gives a real feeling of the origins of the town. Should include in any itinerary. Enjoy.

Have a nice stop over here on the way from VCE to Munich! Choose one hotel close by then followed by dinner in town.

The square is rather beautiful square that retains its mixture of Italian and Germanic architecture. The cathedral is impressive. It is Romanesque and there are a number of very early frescos as well as the remains of the early church below (5th Century). The centre of Trento is picaresque and well worth a visit.

A beautiful square from another time, with a fountain with Poseidon and frescoes on the walls of the buildings. the Duomo Church is great and probably the best church of the city. The square is in the city center, you must visit it if you visit Trento.

My favorite place in Trento to sit at a cafe and watch the endless movie of life. A beautiful Piazza with a soothing fountain and several cafe's where you can enjoy a beverage or lunch and soak in the atmosphere. Always bustling - the bus even passes through - but on market day (Thursday morning) a hive of activity and at other times a venue for concerts. Take time to relax and enjoy the activity and the wonderful view of the mountains.
