Vast and worderful landscapes, a lot of trips to be taken, simple and more demanding. Beautiful views on Monte Bianco peaks, especially at sunset.

I've been twice to tour De mont blanc. It is a great experience and i strongly recommend it. Val ferret has among the greatest views on the entire tour. Feeling when hiked a mountain top in the early morning to see sunrise is something you can't capture in the photos.

An incredibly beautiful walk surrounded by the dramatic peaks of the Mont Blanc, Giant's Tooth and others. You can also see glaciers and hear avalances. Really lovely and gentle walk.

enough snow for sledging and in the sun for most of the day. Several excellent restaurants and beautiful scenery .

During the winter this valley is mainly the haunt of cross country skiers. We were there during the winter and this season there was very little snow however even so as the days were sunlit it is a stunning place to visit and easily accessible by bus which leaves from the main bus terminal in Courmayeur regularly.

A superb walk for all seasons with a cross-country skiing loop and a gorgeous high mountain stream where you can go fishing with a locally bought licence. Punctuated with alpine huts and cottages, that are inhabited only in summer. It goes on for several kilometers and you can even reach Switzerland if you climb higher up.

This is a valley where you have a friendly green hillside on the right side with a great possibillity to hike ending up at the refugio elena. On the left side your eyes meet a unfriendly world with glaciers and grey and high mountains. If you move further to col grand ferret you will soon reach switzerland. Enjoy

The Val Ferret valley offers some excellent hikes during summer and the one we did was about a 7 hour hike from the end of the Val Ferret valley where the bus from Coumayeur terminates. It forms part of the tour Mont Blanc hiking path and starts with a fairly solid uphill slog for an hour and a half and then levels out to a transverse along the side of the mountain until you reach the heights above Coumayeur when the trail falls away steeply and brings you down into the centre of town. Along the way there are spectacular views of the Mont Blanc massif range. The trail is probably around 20km and takes about 6-7 hours depending on your pace. There are one or two refugios along the way to get some food or a drink.

This is a very special cross country skiing valley. Beautifully groomed, a decent distance (about 20km), interesting detours with a bit of up and down, and fantastic views. There are several bars/restaurants in the valley but their food seems mediocre at best so I'd suggest taking your own drink and sandwich. The first time we went was a sunny Sunday and it was quite crowded (there are also walking paths). In school holidays and at weekends you have to leave your car down the valley and take a bus up which is a bit annoying, especially as the buses don't come that frequently. The second time was a Friday and we were able to drive to the start of the ski run which was practically empty. Although a valley, it's quite high so the snow quality was good even in late march. I imagine that the walking here in the summer must be amazing.

Negli anni siamo andati parecchie volte in Val Ferret.

Paesaggi stupendi, neve e montagne come cornice.
