The palazzo Nicolaci a Noto is beautiful inside and out and worth the 4 Euro's entrance fee.It is a magnificent example of restored baroque architecture and the frescoe's in the ballroom are amazing. A great example of how the wealthy lived in these times.

While you are taking a walking tour of Noto, make sure you take time to turn off the main avenue to take a look at the facade of this palazzo. We did not have time to go inside, but if the balconies are any indication of the beauty, it must be worthwhile to visit the interior.

Noto is a charming town with attractive Baroque architecture. This palace is worth the visit, everything has been restored and is well described.

Visiting the Palazzo was something we wrote down as a must-do during our day trip to Noto. We were greeted by the friendliest man at the ticket counter. He let us borrow a guide book and also told us it was OK to take pictures (although we later saw a sign that said it wasn't). We were literally the ONLY people in the palace that afternoon. This was a refreshing change from so many museums where you are in a crowd or feel that the guards are breathing down your neck.It was definitely useful to have the guide book - I read to my husband what we were seeing as he took pictures. So if they don't offer one to you to borrow, I would suggest buying it. The rooms are gorgeous with amazing detail, restored furnishings, and beautiful painted ceilings. We spent about half an hour there wandering through and imagining what it must have been like to have this as your home. We were there in July and didn't feel it was any hotter than any other place at that time of year. We spent a couple minutes on the balcony off the ballroom taking in the beautiful view and enjoying the breeze.Well worth a visit when you are in Noto!

Pop into this palace to get an idea of what life was like for a wealthy family at the height of this city's importance. Stand on the balcony and imagine the town bustling beneath you. An interesting walk through for 15-20 minutes. Very hot inside though!

Nicolaci Palace in Noto is one of the wonderful works of art of barocco style. the building is wonderful outside and inside. its balconies with the works of art underneath are really impressive while the inside part offers a real picture of the everyday life at that time. Nicolaci Palace is UNESCO heritage and it deserves a visit if you are in the area.

Worth a visit to take a picture as nobles lived in Sicily. The staff was very nice and helpful. The entrance fee was a few Euros.

Stunning and interesting - and wonderful view of Noto. You can imagine the ballroom dances...hear the music. A must -see. We loved the wall paper/painting and ceiling paintings. Wonderful detailing. By the way, whoever doesn't feel like seeing this, can have a gelato or two without making others feel bad that they are left behind!

This is a wonderful old house with a few different rooms that you can wander through. Don't miss the amazing walls and the wallpaper in the rooms. Also, the balconies cannot be missed. The staff (a young woman) was very nice and helpful. The entrance fee was a few Euros, maybe 3-4.

We spent an interesting three quarters of an hour here. Outside, the facade has several balconies with very fancy carvings of horses and other creatures.Inside, the palace is nearly empty of furniture, but some of the rooms are painted with frescos of birds and some with mythlogical scenes . It is possible to go out onto some of the balconies over the street and over the square and the views are nice, especially as you are on the balconies with the fancy carvings. There is a lovely ballroom or salon area which is painted to look like a pavilion, with windows.

It is a photographer's dream. Unfortunately we could not go inside, I wish we did. I can only speak of outside, this is a landmark not to be missed, I want to go back to Noto just to be able to see interior of this palace

Is interesting but cost €4 each to visit and they want their paper guide with photos and explanation of the rooms back at the end! The rooms are quite interesting and you can go out on some of the balconies for a really good look around the city. In that respect the price is ok because then you don't need to go up the other church towers only to look at the city ;-)The 10 rooms that you can visit have been beautifully restored with samples of the original wallpaper on display in each room. Well worth the visit!
