We toughly enjoyed our visit to the Oasi. Granted we visited in October when the crowds were minimal. I can’t imagine what this place would be like during the height of the tourist season?? Although you are more likely to see some of the endemic bird life that inhabits the Oasi during the spring season, I’m not familiar enough to say what the crowds would be like at that time. But summer time must be extremely busy. The hike to the beach is nice if you take your time and are careful to look at all the little nooks and cranny’s that dot the trail. The beach is really rather unspectacular as beaches go. If you hike further past the beach on towards the old fish processing plant you will be rewarded with some great photo opportunities, which include old white stuccoed buildings framed with ocean views. The contrasts between the blues of the ocean and the white buildings, which are located in and around the site, are stunning. We spent most of the day traveling to this site to see wildlife, which we didn’t see, but we were pleased to view some of the unique landscapes as a replacement. I would recommend a visit, but only in the off season.

Free entrance and open until 19:30. Best visiting the parc at the beginning of the end of the day. Very beautiful. Visit also the old tuna fabric, its great!

Beautiful, peaceful, wonderful beaches, great walking, many wild birds (saw flamingoes and egrets in the wild)

There are 2 car parks in Cala Mosche, if you park near the old tuna factory you are in for a 45 minute walk to the beach. Not much fun on a hot day - beach was lovely when we finally got there! It wasnt just us, there were many others who had been misled by the signs.

An amazing seaside place: the water is blue and transparent (meet small fishes while you swim too), with a clean free sandy beach and the typical Sicilian glade behind you. There is a bit to walk to reach this paradise but it worths: only bring a lot of iced cold water and light food or fruits as there is no refreshment to buy.

Could be an interesting place, off the beaten track... but no toilets and not really family friendly. And for a place referred to as the Vendicari sands - there isn't much sand in evidence!

There is an old tuna factory, which is atmospheric. We didn't see any birds -probably because we visited it late in the afternoon - but the place is amazing! You have to pay 3.50 euro to park your car, but no admission fee. Take with you something to eat or drink

I coldn't ressist. I ran along the sandy beach at low, clear water. The wind blew pleasant. I can be doing hand stands in the water and enjoyed. If there'll be still a nude beach, would have been perfect.

The beach is at least not swamped with visitors; the water is clear and the sand clean. If you arrive in the mid day do not expect to see birds. Birds are intelligent , they take shelter in the noon day heat. Some humanoids are less astute, so don't expect any escape from the sun's oppressive rays unless you bring your own umbrella.

Go there and enjoy the lush of Vendicari. Nice beaches you can reach only after an enjoyable walking. Do not miss it.

I'm totally in love with this place where the nature is still intact and everything moves and acts only following its rhythm...in front of the warm Mediterranean.

A wonderful place to spend a few hours - a beautiful beach and nature park with flamingos in the lake. NB. Parking is on-site at EUR 3.50. It's only a short walk to the beach, but there are longer trails if you want to do them. The old tuna factory is atmospheric.

The reserve is a great way to spend the afternoon. Allow yourself around 1-2 hours of a nice walk and top it with some sun tanning and swim in the sea if the weather allows. NOTE: this is not supposed to be a beach... this is a park to admire nature and birds, beach is an extra!Inside an interesting tonnara, yet the facilities and information point are closed for most of the year. Views are very nice, the salinas with birds a great treat for those who like bird-watching.Beaches inside are CLEAN. Beware - some schools like to send their pupils there after visiting the attractions in the area - can get noisy..

Fantastic riserva! The beach had one of the clearest water I swam in within Europe. too bad we did not plan ahead of time and had no food or drinks with us so we could not stay the whole day. If you go, plan accordingly and take all you ned with you and you will spend a memorable time.

This easily takes two days to see most of it. Start in the middle at their main entrance. Just north of the entrance is an old abandoned Tuna factory, great photo opportunity! On the Noto side is a fantastic small beach, about a 20min walk in from the north entrance.
