I used to love zoo liberec when i was a kid. Until my recent visit i remembered it as the prettiest zoo in cr. Getting older i only realized how small it is and that those animals would deserve a bigger place. I was disappointed to visit it early in spring. There were loud construction works going on right next to the ZOO and the area looked shabby and sad.

small, yet abundant with animals and exhibitions, nice setting over a small hill and a small valley, right in the middle of nature and woods, a lovely place, good if you only have 2 hours or if you want tp spend a nice whole day on fresh air and relax yourself...

So many animals to see, really enjoyed it. Very reasonable entrance prices and well laid out. The big cats are awesome.

Nice,really old ZOO and not so large, ie.good for half day visit. In this autumn was finished new entry. Nice pavilon with birds. This ZOO is famous with their white tigers. Good places for small children.

This ZOO is a must see in Liberec... I have been there 4 times maybe and I am always satisfied. You can see white tigers, lion, zebras, giraffes, elephants, lot of birds, tropical pavilion etc. It is smaller than in Prague or Pilsen, but that is probably also a benefit. You can make it within two hours or whole afternoon, depends if you have kids or not... Price is also reasonable. Accessible with tram or by car, there is free parking place and also other parking possibilities. BE CAREFULL: There is a lot of car thefts on the zoo parking! Recommend to use one of guarded park places and go by public transportation... Oldest ZOO in Czech Republic

The zoo is not the largest (We spent around 2 hours walking around.), but has a wide variety of animals (especially bird).The highlight is the white tiger. A lot of animals are behind glass, so you can get very close to them.Staff everywhere is very friendly and helpful.The cafeteria serves only Czech, mainly deep fried, food.

Liberec zoo is very nice, friendly, 1,5 hour easy walk throug. At the end playing area for the kids. Nice coffee shop.

Lovely little zoo, in a beautiful setting. Fantastic range of animals, snow leopards were amazing! Enjoyed a nice cream and cake and coffee. Incredible value for money, and friendly staff. Would definitely return!

Maybe the zoo is not the largest where we have been in but we enjoyed the time and saw many animals from very close and made superb pictures. Go visit when you are in Liberec

I have visited the zoo four times now....every time enjoyed! You've got zebra, elephants, girraffe, many species of bird, monkeys, lions, white tigers plus some small attractions for kids. 100% recommend a visit.

Sadly, the zoo recently lost a white tiger cub to natural causes,which is not unusual for the breed. Having said this, the two adults are well worth seeing. The zoo also has an adult male Lion, which is behind glass and can be seen from mere inches away. It seems to be the only Lion there? Other attractions are small in number but all well maintained and in good condition. The on site food outlet is limited to Czech fastfood, and not exactly for the health conscious.

Liberec zoo is nice and compact with enough animals to keep you and the little ones interested and keep boredom at bay. Well worth the visit when coming to Liberec.

Having time to spend in Liberec, we have decided to go see the white tigers. The zoo is easy to get to by tram and it's not expensive to get in. We have enjoyed the visit as it's quick enough to keep the young ones entertained.The white tiger is obviously the attraction altough the area were they are is not really well made to be able to see them.It's worth a visit if you have half a day to spare.

This zoo is situated on a tram stop ZOO about five minutes ride from the city center. Duration of a visit is about one and half hour and about two hours if you are visiting with children. They do have white tigers inside and it is an oldest ZOO in the Czech republic.
