If you are hoping to sail into the main harbour at Monaco, then this is where to catch a boat from, small cafe bars adorn the edges of the harbour, but it is from here that all the small boat tenders leave during race weekend, to take you to the yacht for race viewing and an afternoon of luxury.

We spent a lot of time in this area of Monaco. It was a very nice walk from our hotel. It seems like it is a public port because there are meters for the many yachts docked there. There is a luxury hotel and upscale, luxury high rise condominiums. It is a very, very nice neighborhood. It has incredible views of the palace, the alps and the sea. There is public dock with seating available. It seems to be a favorite fishing spot for the locals. The view to the Mediterranean is stunning. It is also the port where cruise ships put down anchor. There are many restaurants, bars and small shops. Most restaurants post menus on the sidewalk.Port de Fontvieille is where the mountain meets the sea. I don't know whether it is something in the air that you breath or just what the cause is...but it is soothing to the soul, calming and just a wondrous place to be on a warm summer day.

A beautiful little port with an awesome view. Although it is surrounded by bars and restaurants, it is still very tranquil and relaxing. The port staff were very attentive and helpfull every time we called them. Surrounded by all amenities; an amazing supermarket within a 5 minutes walk, beauty parlour, boulangerie etc etc. The museum of automobile is within 5 minutes walk and so is the Museum of stamps and coins. Perfect location and perfect setting, I just loved it.

Great place to visit! There was a Christmas market with a big part for children and other part with different food: snacs, oisters, potatoe, crisps and a lot of other. Very beautiful at night time. Difficult to find parking place outdoors - go directly to underground one.

Just on the other side of the mountain there is a little harbor, with a cliff on on eside and some very nice but not luxury apartments on the other. The boats are nice, some gorgeous, but not in any way huge, some of them you could probably afford.A Carrefour supermarket next to the harbor, lots of nice restaurants and bars, and a nice stroll around. It os Monaco but it is quieter, less flashy and less expensive!
