The best time for visit is in May or June right after the winter. Little bit overcrowded but definitely worthy to visit.

We went with friends who could translate for us into English, since the tour was in Slovak. The cave is really fun to see!!

The last tour is at 2pm and we were lucky to get to the cave, when we arrived 5 mins to 2. There were no English audio guides and the tour guide only spoke Slovak. The fee to take pictures was 10 euros. I didn't realize I had to pay for taking pictures until I was confronted by the tour guide. When I offered to pay for at the end of the tour, he said it was not possible since the ticket office was already closed, so I had to stop taking pictures. Overall, it was a nice small cave with the 1 chamber with ice. There is nothing special about it and you wouldn't miss much if you skip this experience.

Very nice cave, but the attendant should more try to... They do not speak english. Bad parking service, not a lot space

Full of staligtites and stalagmites. Nice boat trip on the caves'canals as well. It's a long time ago but that's what i remember. Worth the effort

The excursion in the Ice cave take approx 45 minutes, dress properly cause its very cold there but it is very nice. You must love caves to appreciate the beauty of it.

I visited the ice cave in July 2014. The parking is some way from the entrance which is up a long , long ( uneven at points ) path. The entrance fee is reasonable , but the promise of there being an ice cave is way off the mark. It is a trek involving lots of stairs ( not for the disabled ) with very few outstanding features. The other cave walks in the area offer a superior experience

When you want to visit this cave for the ice, I think you can better visit the one in the Slovenský raj.Because the part of the cave that's covered with ice isn't that big. The guide even doesn't stop there. You get a leaflet in English, but not one word english explanation in the cave, nor when entering the cave. And 10 euro for taking photo's......?

It is beautiful. The ice part of the tour is not that long, but it is worth going for just that. It is quite a steep walk to the entrance and there are a lot of steps on the way out. They do not speak english. You can get a paper telling you of the sights. You are able to go by bus from Mikulas directly to the cave of ice, Liberty and Freedom.

The cave is up in the middle of an mountain. From the parking area it is 15-20 minute by walk up over a quite steep path to the cave entrance . After entering there is no way back until completing the tour. This means children below 4 years should not participate if they are not used to be closed up in a dark cave : ) which is beautiful by the way.Be aware that the cave is closed every Monday.

Slovak version of an english wookey hole/cheddar cave. Nice attraction with a tour every hour the cave is situated on the road to the Jasna ski resort, there is a good size car park which you have to pay for and then about a 15-20 minute walk up a steep path to the cave entrance (this would not be good for wheel chairs or buggies) which can be hard work for young children or people with mobility or medical difficulties. When you go into the caves you have a choice of a Polish speaking tour or Slovakian speaking tour although you don't need to understand either to enjoy the tour, there is a lot of steps inside up and down. The cost is reasonable although if you wish to take photo's you will have to pay another 10 Euro. There is a restaurant outside and snackbar.

We visited this cave on a Sunday afternoon, during a family holiday. The cave is easy to get to, it is a 15 minute bus ride from Liptovsky mikulas, then it is a steady 20-25 minute walk up a mountain path. Tours start every hour, until 4pm - not on a Monday though, it is closed then. The tour takes about 40 minutes and it is well worth the 7 euro price tag. The cave is beautiful inside, but it is a bit chilly, the temperature was around 0-2. We could have easily spent another hour inside, the rock formations and the ice are different at each corner - this cave is a true wonder of nature and a must see.

very close to Liptovsky Mikuláš town. On the input to Demänova valley. Combinaton ice and stalactite decoration. Input to cave is located 200 m above valley under cliff.

Nice place. But pretty expensive parking. Not clear informations to visitors. Entrance times are not matching at gate and at ticket place. 10-15 walk from parking lot to ticket shop next to cage. Quite some room for improvement.
