We stopped by at Beatha with couple of friends we haven't seen for a while. The ambience is perfect, not too loud, not too quiet. Service is attentive. Whisky selection is the best in Bratislava. It's just a great place to hang out.

My boyfriend and I came here on the great reviews we saw on trip advisor. It was great to see a friendly Irishman behind the bar and some great Slovak hospitality as well. €4.10 for a large wine and pint- coming from Ireland, sure you couldn't go wrong! A must see!

Thank God for this fantastic bar. 14 of us spent a brilliant weekend in Bratislava and watched the 6 Nations at the Uisce Beatha - only pub in town showing it. A gem of a place with a brilliant atmosphere, and super friendly owners Brendan and Veronica and a very welcoming local and ex-pat clientele. If your heading to Bratislava this pub is a must.

Have visited this small pub several times. Although tiny and dark, it has a great Irish/British ethos and serves a good selection of drinks, particularly their own stout which is delicious. Friendly people, always willing to chat. Hidden away a little in old town but worth the find.

I have found Uisce Beatha not long after they initially opened and must say was impressed from the first step inside. Warm atmosphere and friendly smiles and greetings from people I have met for the first time, not including only Brendan and Veronika, who run the place, but also from other guests or passers-by. Everybody was keen on having a chat making you feel so welcome. On the selection of food and drinks - great selection of mostly Irish, but also Scotch whiskeys and other drinks, premium beer on tap, some small snacks to go with that as well. First-time whiskey drinker? No problem here, Brendan, Veronika or regulars in the place will happily guide or advise on what to try out. All in all, a great place to visit and re-visit whenever in Bratislava!

I had the pleasure of visiting this gem and experiencing a whiskey tasting here. The staff were plesant and knowledgeable, the beers cool and refreshing and the building snug and dripping with the history of Bratislava. This bar is in a wonderful location almost hidden by the ancient city around it. Populated by interesting ex-pats and even more interesting locals this is a must visit for all.

We came upon Uisce Beatha on the first night of our stay in Bratislava as we had read such good reviews on Trip Advisor. We were warmly greeted by Brendan and Veronica who are such a lovely, welcoming couple who run the pub. I got the nicest gin and tonic I've ever tried and they had a great selection of beer, whiskeys and of course some traditional Slovakian liquor. Not only does it have a great atmosphere but Brendan was very helpful and wrote down specific seat numbers for us to buy tickets for the ice hockey game. A lively and warm atmosphere with very friendly owners!Definitely worth a visit during your stay!

Loved this place! Very friendly staff, spotlessly clean, very quirky. Definitely worth a visit. Fine selection of Irish whiskeys, but lovely beer if that's not your thing.

Since I visited this bar few months ago, I've been coming here quite often with my friends. It's a cozy cellar place with very friendly and helpful owners. As a newbie to the whiskey world, I got few good recommendations from the owner with what kind of whiskey to start. I like the atmosphere of this place as it's a popular hangout bar for the expats in Bratislava. Great place to have a few drinks, talk and have fun.

Friendly staff, cheap beers and a loyal Irish/British expat community mark this out to be a home from home if that's what you're looking for. Worth popping in for a brew if you're about but not sure if its somewhere I'd desperately seek out for a drink. Nice place though.

Place is located in very central part of downtown. Small, cosy with extremely friendly owners. Nice range of whiskeys, good beer and they have also home made lemonades. Let the owner to guide you though world od whiskey and you will be more than satisfied.

I'm leaving in Bratislava for like all my life and I must say that Uisce Beatha is the bar with the most friendly staff (the two owners) in the all town. Good beers and a great choice of whiskies. I recommend!

Impecible service, variety and choice, bar management who actually make you valued and welcome (a tad on the rare side in Slovakia) and some awesome atmosphere thrown in for good measure, especially if the Slovak Shamrocks are in the house !!! Sports fixtures thrown in too, but you can't grumble about the long forgotten craft and tradition of good chit chat... Everyone always welcome! You can't miss this charming find... Say Cookie sent ya! ;-)
