This is a spot from where one can orient him/herself around large part of the city. Climb is a bit steep, but on a fine day the view is great.

Built in the 4th c, it is still there, one of enormous fortifications of Tbilisi, it is so elegant with its beuatiful strategic location

...just enjoy it. The hike is a bit strenuous (especially in the snow/rain), but definitely worth it. Caution: Watch out for the beggars, that are ubiquitous outside of all of Georgia's historic churches. An older woman kept asking me to give her my phone number so that she could arrange a tour for me.

Amazing view of old Tbilisi from castle... Better to visit at night,it is more exciting. you can go up there by electric cable.

nice view over the city. Interesting promenade to reach the place, which brings you next to the botanical garden. Same direction. Apart form the view, the place lacks of interest and just few information available on the spot for tourists.

The uphill walk is a bit tiring but the view is worth it! The higher you go, the better the view. Be careful on the way down.

Again, as with the tram way, it's really the view that makes this worthwhile. Also a 4th cen. ruined fortress growing out of the stone is pretty cool, just not way cool

Before you make the climb, make sure to read up on the history to appreciate this gem. The fortress gives you incredible panoramic views of Tbilisi. A must-see when traveling to Tbilisi.

Lovely views of the city and the walk up is enjoyable through narrow streets. You're able to walk literally all over the place including some areas where other countries would have safety barriers, but this is a must see in Tbilisi if you can walk up there. (cars can drive up, but the parking is incredibly packed, so walk if at all possible!)

It takes some steep climb to reach the top of Narikala Fortress and it's worth for what it provides: the lovely view over Tbilisi. Otherwise there are just ruins of the fortress without any kind of description of context provided, you can climb on some of them but basically that's all you can do here.

Don't miss going up this place if you're in Tblisi. Very easy to reach and near the Peace Bridge. Take the gondola up. Breathtaking view from the top.

From the top of the mountain you can see Tbilisi's every place. That view is amazing at night. I can't write how it is you must to see it!

There's really nothing to actually DO here, but the ride up by cable car is fun, you can use your metro pass on it, 1GEL, and the views are great. Can also get close to the Mother of Georgia statue.

Place well kept nice view of Tbilisi from the fortress suggest visit the place early evening as this will also give you the night view of Tbilisi city form the top.

The fortress is pretty much just ruins. Spectacular views yes, but make sure you keep going the fortress side because it seems like it ends quickly and there is a walking path down but keep going, it is a bit tiring, climbing and all but very rewarding
