Good on a rainy day with 3 floors of rooms with costumed figures and music of the period. Information is available in different languages.On the back of the advertising leaflet it states 'visite libre' - but that is just to look in the shop. it is 5 Euros pp to see the museum.Some people /children may find the cabinet of curiosities a bit gruesome and the atmosphere in the upper rooms is a rather creepy ( especially with the very realistic wax models). We didn't understand why there is a ghost cartoon on the back of the leaflet - but we can guess!!Only opened march 2014 and they have put a lot of effort into the restoration. Amazing medieval costumes for children are available to buy in the shop at around 45 euros. Very good selection of books too.

This is a small museum but it is has quite a few exhibits and is a pleasant way to spend an hour beware the grisly room ( kids love it) . It gives you a good overview of French history and fashion. Good way to spend a rainy afternoon and nice wee shop attached

Toute ma vie , j'ai vu cette maison sans pouvoir n'y voir que la fameuse cheminée. Merci à de charmants restaurateurs de nous l'ouvrir.

façade magnifique très belles représentation de la vie courante de la noblesse.belle exposition de costumes à différentes époques explications un peu trop succinctes au cabinet des curiosités

une déouverte au hasard de la balade une superbe découverte, une viiste riche, variée, de magnifiques scènes reconstituées , bien scénarisées, de la musique, ambiance calme et feutrée, un accueil très agréable, des gens charmants, à recommander
