First sight of the entrance and car parking area was almost sufficient to make us turn round and head homewards but having driven 60 miles so decided to 'risk' a visit. Entry charge reasonable compared with UK . It all seems overgrown with tall bamboo , animal pens and cages are not the largest but most of the livestock appears to be in good condition. Generally it all looks dated with the cafe, shop and toilets all needing vast improvement.

Other comments have been on price etc, so won't repeat, but thought it worth mentioning that the animal shows were excellent. Birds flying all around you and even having one on your 4yr old's head was fantastic.

We were surprised how expensive the zoo was as they don't do a family ticket and some of the enclosures were a bit small. However they are clearly working on this and developing them. The highlight of the day was the seal lion show, really wonderful and the kids were spellbound! We also managed to see the sea bird show which was fantastic too. There is also a parrot show but all the shows were so busy we were lucky to see two. If we hadn't had seen the shows I don't think it would have been good value. The kids said it was one of their favourite days out of the holiday so we'd recommend it, but make sure you see the shows!

Overall we thought this place was very good but we did have mixed feelings. 1. From the outside and car park we thought we'd made a mistake. Look very amateurish and we didn't expect much. 2. Then we paid. Not cheap at all but we though what the hell, we're on holiday and the weather isn't great so we'll go for it. 3. We read the map and saw they had pretty much every animal you'd want a zoo; lions, elephants, giraffes, tigers, penguins, monkeys ...4. The cafe for lunch was average but fine5. Sea lion show was good fun. We couldn't understand it all as it was obviously in French but it was still great for the kids. So, overall, we were very happy and it really filled the day.

We went back to this zoo after a 3 year break and it was better than our first visit there were new animal enclosures and the Parrot display was brilliant with the birds allowed to express natural behaviour .All the enclosures are clean with good views of the animals . The food is tasty and reasonably priced great day out

Visited in mid August. 20€ each to get in. It took about 4 hours to get round. Car parking is not great and ended up in a field fifteen minutes walk away. Some of the enclosures look a little small and barren, I don't think they would get away with it in the UK. Yet others seem fine. There is not much in the way of info in English but I guess that is to be expected. All in all not a bad day out but at 80€ for two adults and 2 teens a bit pricey.

Very pleasant day out lots to see and only 18euros to get in each. Went in late July on weekday in morning, very quite. Highlight of day was the White Lions. If you have been to Dudley Zoo it reminded us of that on a hill, but twice the size.

We had a lovely day out at this zoo. The car park was packed, but we managed to get a space. It cost 71 euros for a family of 5, a little more than I've paid for some other zoos, but still very reasonable when you see the number of animals inside. The zoo is well laid out and very easy to navigate and even though it was busy it was still possible to see all the exhibits and find quiet places. The only big objection that I have with this zoo and in fact most zoos are the public feeding the animals. I was disappointed that at Pont Scorff it was almost encouraged. There were scores of people literally shovelling popcorn down the giraffes throats. Regardless of how "unharmful" popcorn might seem, it is not part of these animals natural diet. The animal feeding doesn't end with the giraffes and the zoo must surely realise this. Even the enclosures with signs telling you not to feed the animals had people feeding them. I witnessed a woman ripping out a huge bamboo cane to feed the elephant and to make sure she was able to launch it over the fence, she shoved a baguette onto the end of the bamboo to give it weight! The elephant of course ate the baguette. Again, it might all seem like harmless fun, but I have been in zoos were animals now have diabetes due to the public feeding them. Everywhere I went in Pont Scorff there was trails of popcorn. Animals were standing in their enclosures surrounded by the stuff.I have brought my children up never to feed wild animals human food, so I had to spend the day here explaining to them why I wouldn't let them buy popcorn to feed the animals. Pont Scorff, this is just wrong. If you really want the public to get the opportunity to feed the animals, then have designated feeding times with a keeper and food that is a natural part of their diet, not popcorn!

We visited in mid June with my Daughter ,Son in-law & year old boy ,The Zoo buildings do look dated but its clean & well maintained ,Don`t miss the Sea lion show "its great" there is no English translation but you can still follow the show .some of the enclosures look to be lacking in stimulation for the animals but are of a good size . there a hands on area for the children with lots of Goats .. Some of the larger cats came out later in the day but I think we saw everything we wanted . We bought food in the zoo and found it of good quality & fairly priced..Look out the the notice boards giving times of shows there very entertaining .

Easy to get to and worth a visit. We visited the reptile area first and initially I was worried that we had made a mistake coming here. The enclosures were small, shabby and without stimulation for the animals. I don't think I've ever seen a fat crocodile - but there were two in here ( there were also some fat lions later on) and I found the tortoise enclosure especially depressing - 10 tortoises in a grey enclosure with nothing but hay and a little water. However, much of the rest of the zoo was much better. Bigger and greener enclosures. Nice shady areas and we liked the sea lion and bird shows. There was also a large range of animals. Another thing we really enjoyed were the goats - in an enclosure at the corner of the zoo with some monkeys on an island, the giants were free to roam and enjoyed walking round with us for some strokes. Given the state if the reptile area, I have given this an average rating over all, but the rest of the zoo was good. And I agree with a previous poster, toilets could do with updating and there was no soap in the entire place! Lucky we ate before we got to the goats!

From the out side it looked a bit dated, but man was I wrong about the park itself, from the very start me and the kids were taken by the wide range of animals that were on show, even with the heavy rain there was still plenty to do! It was surprisingly bigger than expected, it had everything we needed to keep the kids attention, from the impressive bird show( spoken only in French) to the baby goats in the farm area that the kids had great time petting. Then only thing that was disappointing was the price €52 for the 4 of us but by the end of the day it all worth it, definitely worth a visit, a must see if you ask me!!

My daughter-in-law suggested we should all go to the late night opening of this Zoo. The party included my partner and I (retired), my son and his wife and their three boys - aged 6 to 12. We enjoyed the opportunity to see the Snow Leopard, an Amur Leopard along with a pair of Clouded Leopards as well as a wide variety of birds, primates etc. The evening openings include musical entertainment, humorous interludes and a set-piece entertainment (on this occasion featuring a medieval court). Food in various styles was available including a whole pig barbecue. We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would have no hesitation in recommending it.

Had a nice family day out here. When you get your ticket they sell popcorn at the same time which seede odd. Then noticed children using it to feed some of the the animals. The wallabies emu,s monkeys and giraffs loved it and came so close for some great shots. The giraffs ate out of your hand which was fab. The park is well sign posted so you dont miss anything, several shows to see. Parking was on a unkept field which turned into a slippers mud mess after a downpour so not sure how some of the sportier cars got on leaving the field.Quite expensive entry but good fun

A good day out. We especially enjoyed the sea lion show (complete with baby sea lion) and the bird shows - sea birds and parrots. Who would have thought that you could train cormorants! Our two children (aged 9 & 6) particularly enjoyed feeding the wallabies and giraffes with popcorn bought at the entrance to the zoo. Don't scrimp on the amount of food you use at these two locations. Aside from the ducks, who will eat anything, we found that the wallabies and giraffes were the only animals we were permitted to feed. On the down side (although this is still a five star day out) the food available to buy was of notably poor quality and over priced at 8 Euros for a tasteless hot dog sausage in a hard roll with rubbery chips (our advice: take a picnic). The toilet facilities were also somewhat wanting.

Excellent zoo, a wide range of well cared for looking animals. The only downside is the hill it is built on. We went with my brothers family and the paths down the hill weren't brilliant for a buggy, lots of tree roots coming through. That said, the zoo itself was excellent. We watched the sea lion show and the parrot show. Seeing the parrots flying freely but returning when called was truly amazing. The shows were presented in French obviously but that didn't detract from my enjoyment of the visual element. Be warned though, the birds swoop low over your heads and are even encouraged to sit on audience members heads. (My son loved that element, me less so!) My daughter was delighted to finally see some elephants too! There was reasonably priced food available however we arrived armed with ham baguettes and there was a good size picnic area surrounded by play equipment for the younger members of the party. The animals enclosures had the English name of the animal alongside the French but no further info in English. All in all a great day out. We paid 62€ for 2 adults and 2 children. A pricer visit out but well worth it. Not much shelter there in the rain though!
