Always a joy to visit whether you are a religious person or not (and I'm not). It never looses its magic with its huge ancient wooden doors, and all of its centuries of history. You are immediately transported back in time to the 13th century. A wonderful building to visit, and great respect to all those who have maintained it in such beautiful condition,(and still do),throughout the centuries.

A beautiful Cathedral in a beautiful city. A magnificent testament to the faith, vision and building skills of people of a bygone age.

It definetely worths a visit among other things for the impressive sculpted tombs of Anne de Bretagne's parents: François II and his wife. Beautiful masterpiece!

In the heart of the city...absolutely beautiful. This was the firs cathedral in Europe I had ever visited and was really impressed by it's beauty. Definitely worth a stop. My favourite place we visited in Nantes. We also happened to be there on a day that the crypts were opened - if possible, I would recommend seeing the crypts as well...really amazing.

Sit and mediate for a few moments and appreciate the space around you. It is a magnificent cathedral and well worth spending songs time there.

Right in the heart of the city of Nantes is the Cathedrale de St.Pierre et St. Paul. It has been lovingly rebuilt and restored after being nearly destroyed in bombing raids during the Second World War. The medieval tomb of the parents of Anne, Duchesse of Bretagne is simply beautiful. The cathedral authorities have even built a viewing platform within the chapel so that visitors can marvel at the workmanship from above. A building of awe-inspiring beauty.

Such a beautiful Cathedral, we were wowed from the second that we saw it. We admired it from the outside and then we were lucky enough to get to go inside too, it truly is stunning and a must see if you are visiting this stunning city.

A very huge infrastructure rich in story. At this place, you travel in many centuries. The best however is to have a tour guide to help you to enjoy the journey.

Huge building with soaring ceilings and vast light filled spaces. Unlike most cathedrals I have seen this was scant on interior artefacts but some tombs to note and definitely worth a visit either for a walk through or a place to rest during sightseeing for some quiet time. The crypts below are worth walking through too for a history of the building and some stunning goblets and religious robes.

Beautiful. Breathe taking. Details on ceiling that are really amazing. I went 3 times within my 3 day visit to Beautiful city of Nantes. Mass was amazing, with organ music, choir, just perfect in any way. The other day I was totally alone there so I could look paintings and enjoy light “dance” from numerous colored glass, vitrage windows.Amazing.Really must-see in Nantes. I have also gone for organ concert, and it was great to be part of that music festival in Nantes. There were many people that love organ music, and we were all enjoying momentum, acoustic and harmony.

When we visited the cathedral there was a wedding in progress, after waiting for 10-15 minutes we could enter. The thing that fascinated me the most was the color of the stained glasses.

While in Nantes i chanced upon this cathedral whiel walking admiring the christmas atmosphere in December. Lots of people were coming out of the cathedral so I went in and discovered a pipe organ recital. It was amazing. Although the recital was happening I wandered around admiring the age and atmosphere of the place. A perfect way to start my Christmas is France.

Extremely large church reputed to be larger than Notre Dame but definitely not as busy . Easy to find , located in a square . There are hop on hop off buses operating from this square as well as a small open train for city tours .

The children wanted to go in and I was surprised at how much they enjoyed it. Very relaxing and interesting.
