I didn't play the course, but wish I had, the wife doesn't play and wanted to do other things. Might be the most scenic golf course I've ever seen! It's pricey to play, I think they quoted me something like 250 Euro, but it would be a life experience for sure. Still, worth the visit just for the scenery.

I've been here many times during the last 15 years and love to take some of my customers to play this Spectaculare Golf Course. It's breathtaking, so beautiful and very challengeing, especially when you play in the wind, wich is almost always. The fairways are very good, fast greens and some demanding cliffs and valleys. The food at the restaurant is good and so are the hotel. I recommend that you stay a night or two to get it all. I'll be back again in 2015

Had a chance to play Old Head in early November. It was one of the best golf experiences that I have had. The scenery is better than Pebble Beach. The course was well conditioned and is very fair. I used a caddy, but one is not necessary. There are no blind shots. I used the rental clubs which were new and high quality. The staff was friendly and provided everything that I needed. I will be back.

The golf course is a "must experience" setting. Not for the high handicappers but a fantastic setting for a "spoiled" walk. Spectacular views. Terrifying drops to the ocean. Must see before one departs this earth.

The finest golf course ever played. The views are amazing. The staff are warm and friendly. The golf is challenging and if you want a terrific caddy, ask for Terry McAuliffe.

This is like going to Disneyland for golfers. Probably the most spectacular golf course I have ever played. Every hole has a breathtakingly beautiful view, you almost can't focus on the golf. We played here twice. It isn't a true links course, and maybe one of the longest walks from the tips I have ever had on any golf course. Well worth the money to experience it. There isn't anything in the world that compares. The closest I could say would be the Challenge At Manele Bay in Hawaii. It is the only course I've played with stunning cliff top views and shots like this.

This is the third time i got to play this course! It is a very difficult course but this time i was fortunate to have Killian as our caddy, after a hole or two he had the measure of my golf and just handed me my club pointed me in the direction i was to take and it was plain sailing from then on! Thank you Killian you made it a great golf experience for me! The food in the clubhouse was excellent and the coffee devine!

Stunning location; beautifully designed clubhouse facilities, and a building that sits in the landscape unobtrusively.Friends and I enjoyed bar food recently - but to call it bar food does not do it justice.Restaurants in the neighbourhood take note; Old Head is capable of punching well above it's weight. Will return when possible. And I haven't mentioned the golf course yet; more of that anon. Its too good to be true, almost

Outstanding golf course, one of the best in all of Ireland. Great ocean view, great hotel. Course is within a 20 minute drive from Kinsdale, Ireland.

The most spectacular course on a 7 day Irish golf trip. The course is basically cut out of a cliff/peninsula. Every hole has spectacular views. I walk every course I play, and have played all over the world. This was one of the most difficult walking courses I ever encountered, because of the frequent elevation changes from hole to hole. I believe a cart is available with a M.D.'s note, but I would check ahead if you do not typically walk courses. Well worth the walk, and I would do it again, but just be aware that you must have some level of fitness if you decide to play and walk this course.

our caddy Ronan made the golf even better if that is possible. The pro shop did need restocking when we were there. Next time we would stay at the lodge there..
