A downhill paradise with rich access to snow, at a 50 % shorter drive from Stockholm. High lift capacity results in short queues. Ski in/out lodges and a nice atmosphere.

28 Slopes, starting at elevation of 275 meters. Total length of slopes 23 km. Very nice lodge,169 rooms. Good food. Nice bar. 15 minutes from Borlange.

Romme Alpin Mountains offers a good variety of lifts and trails. Located about three hours from Stockholm, 20 minutes from Falun (closest biggest city) its very convenient to et there by car. A lot of families and most people are very nice. They have snow making machines which help to open the resort early in the season

after booked the ski pass,equipment and the shuttle bus, we paid more than 2000 SEK,The email is all in Swedish, and just wrote the building to meet, and the building is like several floors, we waited at the entrance for more than half hour and asked some people, at the end we didnt see the bus.we called the company try to get the refund back, they gave us the reason which we couldnt understand.we are tourists, we are new here, and it's reasonable to get the refund if you didnt participate the activity yet.so we CANT get the money back. it's a lot of money, if the money of the bus cant be refundable, i will say its alright, but the ski pass should be refund, it's the customers' right.

Romme Alpine is the ski-resort situated only about 200 km from the Stockholm area and even closer to other major cities like Uppsala, Västerås or Örebro. It can easily be reached by car, train or air as it is placed about 10 km outside the city of Borlänge in the heart-land of Sweden. Dalarna. A ski-lodge is placed directly on the slopes and several restaurants contribute to a morning to evening ski-experience.

This was the final weekend of the season at Romme Alpin. We came early on Saturday and all went smooth, ski rental, skipass etc. Not so much people in the slopes. Great weather and slopes. Nice with new slopeas and lifts as well. The Lodge was also a great experience. Really luxurious room with sauna. One problem at breakfast, though. The table for Waffles is too low. Almost kids style. All in all, a very enjoyable stay.

Going on our first alpine skiing vacation, as beginners with children Romme gave well fitted challenges. We spent three days here.The size of the area makes it easy to keep a good overview and find each other though going down different slopes. We were two families traveling together.Quite a lot of slopes to chose from. The only boring was that the very easy "Hemvägen" - which we all experienced as very boring, seemed to be the only way down from the top to the main area at the bottom. The food at the different eateries was OK and not over-prized. Though it was in the winter holiday, the queues went fast - both in the lifts and the eateries.For two or three days Romme is a very good place to go. For longer stays I think it is a risk of getting bored.

Romme Alpin sköter backarna suveränt bra. Bättre att åka hit på helgen än att åka till Sälen. Bo på skilodgen!

Äntligen! Som Borlänge bo var jag på plats ute vid Romme Alpin. Mycket folk. Otroligt vackra byggnader, invändigt mer än vackert. Fina backar. Toppstuga. Här kan du i stort få allt. Middagar, åkning, bra hotell rum. Tänkte ett tag att jag var längre norrut, eller i Alperna.

Välutbyggt alpint system nära Borlänge. Perfekt för nybörjare i alla åldrar. Genomtänkt logistik i uthyrning liftar och restauranger som sväljer skaror av skidåkare på ett föredömligt sätt. Rekommenderas.

Nära Stockholm, bra backar för att vara så litet. Stor liftkapacitet. Perfekta toppstugor för lunchintag.

Jag hade nog lite förutfattade meningar om Romme Alpin att det skulle vara lite "sådär". Men nu har vi varit här tre år i rad.Jag tycker att det funkar klockrent. Vi har åkt rätt mycket skidor både i svenska fjällen och nu på senare år även i alperna . Romme funkar bra för att stilla den mesta hungern på skidåkning. Jag hade nog inte stannat en hel vecka men två dagar funkar bra.Vi har åkt tidigt hemifrån (ca 25 mil), åkt skidor på dagen, bott på Scandic inne i Borlänge och tillbringat ytterligare en dag i backen innan hemfärd.Familjen består av 2 vuxna och 3 grabbar på 7, 10, och 13.

Första turen till Romme bjöd på härligt väder o fina backar. Bra område med fint upplägg i alla svårighetsgrader. Trevliga stugor att rasta i med bra priser. Ett plus för familjetoaletterna för de m småbarn. Närhet till parkering. Bodde i Falun men transport m bil tog inte mer än 25 minuter. Kan rekommenderas även om man åker upp över dagen.
