Nice place for a pleasant walk. Many smiling calm people, wonderful vew of the lake, many flowers and greener, greenery... It's an amazing relaxing walk there! You could feel really happy!

I travelled to montreux from Geneva by train which was just over 1 hour away.The whole area is very beautiful and clean, you can easily walk the path from lake Geneva to the mountain for over an hour taking pictures and enjoying the scenes.There many bar, shops and restaurants nearby and free wifi. It's definitely worth visiting even just to walk along the promenade. I imagine it would be even nicer during the summer.There a casino nearby which has free entry and holds the Freddie Mercury experience was was nice and the Freddie Mercury statue nearby as well. Overall the atmosphere was really good, lots of couples and family it can be quite a romantic area with tasteful musicians busking on the streets, benches to sit down to view the lake.

Oh yes, the name says it all and luckily is not just the name but reality. This walk is totally mandatory if you visit Montreux, even on a rainy day. Breath-taking view with the lake and mountains, full of flowers, nice statues and old buildings, clean air, little shops with souvenirs and food. It is so beautiful!!!There are many restaurants and coffees on the way. So stop to enjoy the tastes of Montreux in any of them. You will for sure find one that you like.

Lovely walk along the lakeside we walked all the way to the Chateau Chillon and it was about 45 minutes and a lovely walk Take some bread to feed the ducks and swans if you feel like it

It would be one of the best natural views & a walk of 3-4 km along the promenade is a must for anyone who visits Montreux.There are different flowers & trees all along .....well maintained.

The Promenade takes you all along the lake, sided by plenty of flowers. Despite the chill, there was plenty of people; tourists and runners, and stands of various products to buy.

There is so much to admire on this walk. You have the beautiful landscape to look at with Lake Geneva and the mountains. You can also see the Chateau de Chillon in the distance across the lake. Whilst walking along you'll see beautiful gardens, the whole walk has been lined with animals made from flowers and leaves. You can easily pass a few hours walking along the stretch and admiring the views. I'd definitely recommend walking along here to get to Chateau de Chillon if you are planning on visiting there.

I loved walking along the lake and then feeding the swans. The scenery was lovely. The mountains are always pleasing to me.

Paved lakeside walkway along the banks of Lake Geneva. Stretches for several miles but is not hilly . Beautiful scenery and very pleasant. Not much in the way of touristy joints. Elderly friendly and free of charge

BRILLIANT that's the word for the promenade in MONTREUX - so lovely clean and quiet - it is like the french riviera but much nicer we will be back that is for sure even from normandy this is really worth it big timedon't miss this

even on a cold November day, we enjoyed our walk. Beautiful chateaus along the way. The only thing we noticed, which is common among many parks and walkways we have gone so far in Switzerland is the SMELL OF DOG URINE in these pathways. Maybe the parks maintenance goys should flush the walkways 2-3x a week with water just to wash away the smell. Nonetheless, the view is still worth the smell. :)

Lake is beautiful and have casino, picnic spots ,restaurant. Its a good 45 min walk from chillion . The lake promenade is full of people on sunny day .

A walk by the lake can be very romantic. I took a stroll in the evening, there was the moon shining and the white swans in the dark lake...beautiful!

I wandered here so often. The views are just stunning, all the local stroll and at the weekend it is buzzing. Stalls, buskers, great food are all on sale at the weekend. You can walk for miles either way around the edge of the lake from Montreux.
