Wow. After driving 2 1/2 hours from Bucharest to see the Black Sea, what a disappointment to arrive here. Buildings dilapidated and a lousy beach. The beach can not have been cleaned in years. Only beach I've ever been on where there are more cigarette butts than shells! Detroit City meets Haiti. Exhausted after driving two weeks around beautiful Romania hoping to arrive and enjoy spa treatments--not happening here. Checked out early and back to Bucharesti for us.

What fun the kids had at the beach, even now in October they ask to return! The beach is pretty clean, have plenty of eating spots right on the beach all at very reasonable prices, there are lounge chairs with umbrellas available at a minimum fee, well worth going, and if you’re in Constanta during the summer going everyday in well worth your time. One of the nicest beaches in Europe has to offer.

My friends and I spent a weekend in Constanta, travelling from Ploiesti by bus. It was a nice escape from the bustle of work and the city, however, the beach itself was not spectacular. It was clean and there was a beach bar for drinks, but it certainly does not offer lovely scenery or particularly clear waters. However, it was easily accessible by bus and if you're searching for a simple weekend on the beach, this is the place to go.

The main beach was in poor condition and not so attractive, but we enjoyed the smaller beaches in the next 2 coves north which were quiet oases to read and swim. All the beaches however suffered from litter and lack of care-perhaps partly because we were after the end of main season

Nice beach, has a few bars on the beach and was well kept considering its beside a big port.plenty of space that day

It's a nice loooong sandy beach, but i never swim there, last summer was hot but the sea water was cold. There are plenty plenty restaurant/bar along the beach. and also there is a pave way for bicycle riders. almost every afternoon i spent my time cycling along the beach

Not very clean though plenty of it. Only few drink outlets. Too many steps down to it and seem twice as many climbing back up again. The beach(though smaller near the marina is much better). Lots of road works to contend with at the moment due to European grants financing rapid development. By 2016 this area should be greatly transformed. .

Very nice beach on the black sea and beatiful lake. A lot of cafes and pubs along the beach.In the town you can find old buildings, some of them a litle bit ruined, but it was very interesting. I like that :)The best thing: the things were very cheap comparing with another places in Europe.

Classic old fashioned beach. Basic but sufficient facilities. Just the place to dip your toes in the Black Sea.

Our teenage girl took us to a friend in Costanta. The weather was hot but the Black Sea embraces us again with her tender hands. I don't like going to sea, but this year, on that hot time, the breeze helped me fell good. In the evening we made long trips, walking even to Mamaia beach.

Constanta beach is way more quiet that the one in Mamaia, but unfortunately, few people means also few care.. so the beach is not very well kept.. However, the water is nice, and it is a good place to relax. I really liked it !

This is my favorite place in the world. The beach is great and the see is very beautiful in summer but even greater in the winter. The food and the drinks are really really cheap. If I were from another country I would came here because is a cheap please but beautiful like other places for ex, Greece.

In fact,in Constanta are more beaches,not only one.The main beach of the town is probably Modern beach.A pretty good beach,wide enough,sandy,shallow water for a distance of over 100m from the shore line.A few bars and restaurants in the area.Very crowded in full season.Anyway,a better beach can be found in Mamaia,not very far from here.

The beach of Constanta is dirty, dirty, dirty. Everywhere garbage, wild dogs, and the smell of the water is awful in this time of the year. Next to that the water is dirty. If you want to find a place on the sand, it needs to be cleaned first. If you don't want to hire a chair and an umbrella, there is NO PLACE whatsoever. Loud music on the beach (Radio Holidays), and all kind of places where you can buy beer, chips and cigarettes. Here and there it looks better - lounges. In the high season it is very crowded and you are with your head in other people's bags. The typical thing is that Romanians don't have that feeling of "my place-your place". They just drop down next to you, even when there is enough space to "divide". Only if you go to 5 star hotels located at the seaside, you will find a clean and nice environment and luxury chairs. Of course you are paying over there....
