There is no many attractions to visit in Kuopio, but if you have time and you like beautiful landscapes this is a must see place. Especially in summer time you can see the beautiful Kallavesi lake and forests from here. It really looks like, that Kuopio is a city in the middle of the forest. Beautiful. The tower itself looks very 70s and old fashioned, so rather come see the view not the tower.There's also a restaurant and a cafe in the top of the tower. A souvenir gift store you can visit before entering the tower, which I think is quite a good store.

Puijo tower is next to skujimp arena in town Kuopio. Tower is the tallest builing in town and offers 360 panorama view over Kuopio. There is simple vafe so you can sit down and relax for a while

Go on top and take a look of all Kuopio. Then some food at the tower restaurant. These are must things to do when visiting but besides that Puijo does not offer anything else.

A very nice uphill trip either on the road or via the grand stair on the other side of the Puijo hill at the ski stadium by the ski jumpong tower. There are also stairs in the tower itself. An after all this climbing you can have a nice dinner/lunch at the tower restaurant and view the scenes 360'.

In puijo you can look to the town by huge hide, it's wonderfull. the road is very precipitous and next to the road there are many pristine pines and spruses.

The tower gives panoramic views over the whole city! There are information boards provided so you can see what you are looking at and in which direction you are looking. On a clear day I can imagine that you can see for miles! Unfortunately, this was not the case when I was there but it was beautiful anyway. The area surrounding the tower is ideal for walking or jogging.

There are not so many cities with more than 100000 inhabitants AND a 500 hectar natural park quite in the middle of the city. Puijo hill is such a place in Kuopio, Finland. The scenery itself is astonishing with old forest and nature reservoir. The tower is not the highest in the world, but the view over lake Kallavesi is the most beautifil...

Choose to visit on a cloudless summerday! Nice scenery of the entire city. It also has a shop, cafe and restaurant. Nice staff too.

A great way to see the view of the Lakeland from above, absolutely amazingly stunning views from this tower, definitely worth a visit!

It looks ugly and a bit scary outside and even more scary inside but it is safe and worth a visit. The scene from the up is absolutely wonderful and gives you the idea what Finland is about: lakes and forests. On a good weather you see tens of kilometers away. Don't pay a visit on a cloudy day!A bit too expensive entrance but then again they need to make year round money in just few months so I accept that. Coffee and dining is expensive but if you dine your visit is free.GO AND SEE THE BEST KUOPIO HAS TO OFFER!

A nice tower though the viewing platform was not opened due to great wind. That was a pity. We did get a chance to see the panorama through glass. Opportunity to dine at their restaurant. Had a lovely blueberry cake. Price is not the cheapest.

Puijo tower itself is not very interesting, but in the surrounding protected forests there is absolutely wonderful nature trails.

The restaurant is located at the top of a television tower. The restaurant is entered by a central lift. The floor next to the outside wall revolves slowly making one rotation per hour so it is possible to see all the superb views. The food was also lovely.
