These gardens in Antrim are starting to come into their own. Well manicured and looked after. Will be fab in summer. Great backdrop for pictures or for a stroll

I was here today with friends. I found here to be very beautiful and it was peaceful and calming. It is very clean and friendly. I would come again.

these gardens are beautiful and we had our wedding photographs taken here. It is such a nice place to walk around or sit and have lnch in the good weather. there is plenty of parking and a lovely walk to the lough shore. The only thing that I do not like is the dogs that are running around it off the lead. I have a dog myself and know they need a bit of freedom but it spoils this place a little sometimes.

The gardens and grounds of the old Massereene castle, which unfortunately their is very little remaining. But the grounds have been revamped in recent years and it has to be said the council have done a good job, the ponds have been restored as have the extensive paths which lead to the river and all the way to the lough shore café / restaurant, which has a good menu, coffee to full meals and makes for a pleasant stop off. The path goes past the car park and through Rays wood all the way to the old Deer Park site, (now a cleared site). Ideal for dog walkers, joggers and family to spend a few hours exploring, the gardens have good toilets an art gallery and a coffee shop on site but I feel its well worth the extra walk to the lough shore. The place is steeped in history, a good worth while experience.

excellent place to visit with beautiful garden shower the coffee shop leaves a lot of room for improvement. The staff are very poor and when I called in a male employee was watching a panini cooking and ignored my 3 attempts to get his attention to serve me my tray bakes. He should no remorse or interest in his job and left me very disappointed . In addition I felt it was a bit over priced for what I got and very over priced in terms of service. I appreciate this may be a one off but worthy of note.

Antrim Castle Gardens is well worth a visit no matter what time of year. Originally the grounds of the old Massereene Castle, it is steeped in history. It has been revamped to award winning standard by Antrim Borough Council who deserve credit for making this a tourist attraction. There is an art gallery and a coffee shop and in summer it is delightful to sit al fresco and enjoy the atmosphere. It is popular with dog walkers and there is car parking. It is a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature, It is possible to see otters, kingfishers and herons if you know where to look. It is a perfect place to bring visiting friends and relatives.

This is a lovely place to walk around whatever the season. It's well kept and has lots of interesting wee nooks and crannies. Only down side is having to keep the dog on a lead, but then again my cons may be someone else's pros. There's a brilliant yoga class at the Clotworthy tower here, it's the perfect place to relax and unwind whilst getting close to nature.

Woodland walks popular with locals, especially dog walkers. The remains of the old castle, riverside garden, motte and canal/lake were still interesting even in December. Café on site, but unfortunately the main garden area was out of bounds being set up for an event.

The time to visit is the summer, when it is very relaxing to have a cup of coffee in the beautiful surroundings of the courtyard. Inside the café is a bit Spartan and there is a very limited choice of food, but it is ideal for a cup of coffee andmaybe a scone.

This is a great place to take the children. You should start and park at Clotworthy House in the grounds, grab a bite to eat, then head to the adjacent gardens for some nice pictures. Then go down to the castle remants for some more photos of the castle, bridge and river. The cross the bridge and walk down alongside the river to the Loughshore. Great day out for kids to see some history, take a walk and enjoy their parents company for no cost at all (apart from the lunch).Great wee day.

I love this place. I like that it opens at very early on Sundays. The volunteers do a wonderful job creating and maintaining the beautiful gardens. There's so much space, interesting animals and a fab cafe.

Definitely gone up in the world! Absolutely a gorgeous place now to go!.... Makes Antrim look top class.. If you like fishing or a stroll or believe in spirits at the banshee castle & the cake. Historic Antrim is the place to be
