A hidden treasure,I took my grandchildren to the meseum and they were amazed, as they could also try on some military uniforms.I feel this museum is not marketed enough for the general public and for tourists

if you have an interest in Military history and in particular the First World War, then there is no better place to while away an afternoon than here. An excellent display of items and always someone on hand to provide information and help with any enquiries into your ancestors.

Located on the Corner of the Mall. ArmaghA wonderful collection of items related to the Irish Fusiliers, plus some Militia too. This regiment took a French Eagle (sadly someone stole it from Chelsea when it was being kept there, It maybe in a collection of the Rothschilds or an Arab somewhere)However, A replica is in the museum. Uniforms, weapons, buttons. Just a really outstanding collection.Visit the County museum 100 yards away - It concentrates on Irish Volunteers and Yeomanry.

We visited the museum to see if they might have any information on any of my ancestors. They had records and pictures of a distant family member that served in WWI. They gave me a folder with the info that they had.

What a great museum, plenty of exhibits on show, a well documented history of this British Regiment. The staff are ever so helpful. Great shop with a wide range of books, cups, badges etc on offer. Very close to the bus station, and central to Armagh City. Admission is free, but well worth giving a healthy donation.

Today 7th. The directions to this place is 10\10. I was absolutely taken back of how unique this military museum is. Plenty of exhibits well spaced out. From the war in Spain and France under Wellington, the Boer war of Africa, and the first and second world wars. Time will pass by viewing the medals and the Victoria Cross won by this regiment. There is also a shop with plenty of books, badges and some jewellery. Admission is free but does need donations for the upkeep and utility bills.Do pay this place a visit. You'll not by disappointed.

Despite it doesn't have much space, it has interesting aspects of history, especially if you are interested in local war history.

Free admission. Exhibits really impressive .Opportunity to take time to look around.Think they could charge an admission fee and still get plenty of visitors. Will be recommending to family members . A definite must see for anyone interested in military history.
