Thank you for the lovely review. Unfortunately a few of the negative reviews I have had are not actually for my lace shop but for the coffee shop next door which is a completely separate business but I cant seem to get them removed. Thanks again for your lovely review and I look forward to your next visit

This is a must to visit as it is full of beautiful lace and antiques which will delight you. My friend and I spent much longer than we expected in this little shop and there was so much to see.

It was like walking into Narnia. I have never seen anything like it.The MOST BEAUTIFUL lace dresses, shawls, collars etc etc that you could imagine, and the small but delicious museum of vintage lace dresses were absolutely divine!!!!!!

A step back in time. Exquisite workmanship in each piece. Items for sale too although very pricey! Entrance itself is free, so well worth a visit.

What in Gods name is this shop/museum doing here!!! It should be in New York or London or Paris. Called in as the OH had heard all about it and even I was spellbound at the beauty of what was on offer. Although I know more about the dark side of the Moon than I do about Lace!!

What an amazing place. It was so interesting to see the antique lace tops and shawls but the wedding dresses at the rear of the shop were unbelievable. The shop is packed with all kinds of lace things. It is expensive, but where else would you be able to purchase such a range of antique clothes etc.

As a crocheter and lace lover this small but jam packed shop/museum is heaven on earth. Beautiful antique lace pieces and dresses and and overall ambience of shop is like stepping into the world of Miss Havisham. Have to say, when we visited the lady in the shop was more than friendly, contrary to one review I read, and I was not spending money - only bought one little keepsake so it wasn't to make a sale. However, I do think this is not for young children unless they are seriously interested in craft and can contain themselves, that is just my own humble opinion, I'm sure every item in this establishment is fragile and delicate.

thought I would stop in here with my sister who was visiting from the USA and her 4 year old son. We were the only ones in there other then the lady working there. Lots of lace, but nothing really over whelming. My nephew wanted to look and see all the lace in the glass, so yes, as a 4 year old, he left a few finger prints, the lady working there huffed and puffed a few times and then followed us around with her rag and glass cleaner. Took us about 10 minutes to go through the whole place. Suggestion, if you take kids in there who are intrested in looking and oohh and awwing, tie their hands behind their backs or chance facing dirty looks and being followed around with the cleaning rag.

A stunning and unique shop. Step into a Dickens novel as you walk through the door. An amazing collection of lace items. Some absolutely exquisite pieces and the Edwardian wedding dresses are just breathtakingly beautiful. Vintage jewellery and accessories (fans, feather items) also on sale. This shop will be of interest to anyone who loves historical fashion and very much of interest to brides, or people looking to buy a baby or child outfit, (lovely baby hats, gowns for christenings, nightgowns etc) who are looking for something very special indeed. Items are mostly in the expensive to very expensive price bracket so probably out of the reach of most everyday tourists I would imagine, but the prices probably reflect the intricacy of of the work, the quality and the rarity of it, so this appears to be a shop for the very serious minded lace and fashion devotee so visitors need to bear that in mind. Really wanted to buy something but prices were mostly out of reach also was a bit concerned about how many of the items could be used practically nowadays as they are very delicate. There are a few cheaper items on sale too. Museum entry is a very reasonable £2.50 and kids under 12 go free so this was very affordable - the exhibits are stunning and well worth a visit. Overall I would highly recommend this shop to visitors as it is a rare gem and it was a pleasure and a joy to visit.

Great location next to the coffee shop. Some beautiful lace on show and some fine linen and lace for sale ...at a price. Well worth a visit

A lot of work went into setting this shop and museum up! ~So go along and enjoy it. Beautiful lace, all types, all costs! Something for everyone! Not all too expensive. Bring your camera. You will get some nice photos here! There is a toilet suitable for disabled in the coffee shop. The cafe has very nice home cooked cakes! hmmmm! They should do a gluten free cake also? Good parking facilities. Well worth a visit. Nice thatched house. The shop part is free, £2.50 into the museum. I don't think a wheelchair could get around the shop, but it could go into the cafe for the cakes!!!!!!

Interesting to see but was only interested in a quick look as alot of the same. Wasn't interested enough to pay to see the part that was "no entry".

This speciality museum in Bellanaleck has lots to offer for those interested in the intricacies of Irish lace. The gist shop has appropriate gifts for those who are crafters in this or who have it as a hobby. While it is small (and thus takes some maneuvering for large groups) it is worth the trip. Coffee shop adjacent if quite good. Don't sail or drive past this without a visit!

The shop owner has been collecting Irish lace fro the past 30 years!!! Bridal gowns, antique lace, pearls, great-grandmother style bloomers, lacy nightgowns, evening purses... you will feel like you've fallen asleep and woken up in a Victorian fairy tale. Definitely worth paying the 2 pound entry fee to visit the back of the store which is an amazing museum of the history of lace-making.

This is the most beautiful shop I have ever been in with magnificent quality antique lace and other beautiful accessories on display. I didn't have time to visit the museum but I am planning on going back with a couple of girlfriends and I know we will all get a number of special gifts (Christmas not too far ). The proprietor Rosaleen is an extremely gracious and lovely lady willing to impart her knowledge of all things lace. She was more than happy toanser a question or two that I had about lace that I owned. She is obviously an accomplished seamstriss as the beauiful bags that she makes are handcrafted items to treasure for ever.We didn't have time to stay for coffee but the cafe looked lovely and bright and inviting, so looking forward to that too. NIce little road trip from Dublin with my pal.A lovely place to visit.
