Full of samey, chain restaurants. Lots of litter. Maybe it looks better in the sunny weather but when we visited in March it was grey and run-down.

Mermaid Quay and the surrounding area has a cosmopolitan feel to it. There are: restaurants galore from Indian to Italian and everything in between; Museums; theatres; boardwalks; statues and stunning views across to England. A great place to visit for all of the family.

Busy quayside atmosphere, lots of boat activity to watch. Good walk all round the bay and across the barrage, even better hiring cycles from Pedal Power. Always something going on in the Millennium Centre, with its fabulous theatre.

Great atmosphere and views. Plenty of places to eat and drink, a few small independent shops, boat trips to Penarth or Cardiff City centre.

Very pretty place- can look right across Cardiff Bay. Easy access from the M4. No shops though but plenty of restaurants. Certainly worth visiting

Great place to go for an afternoon or evening meal and drink. Summertime is always buzzing with people and an excellent choice of restaurants and bars to choose from

because there is nothing to do exciting things you can go around the place in couple of minutes . i would rather go to old ruined castles in Cardiff.

Wether it is summer or winter, if the sun is shining I love it. There is plenty of parking in the quieter times but can be very busy in summer. You can take a leisurely stroll along the waterfront or simply sit in one of the many cafés/restaurants and have good food/drink and watch the world go by.

The Quay is the ideal place for a summer evening drink or anytime the sun shines. It gets busy on Fridays and Saturdays and during special events but well worth a visit. Take a boat ride or chill with a beer, glass of wine or a coffee and watch the world go by.

The various cafes and the views at Cardiff Bay. The attractive harbour and boats. The weather was mild and the sun was out. Plenty to see and do. We took a boat trip to Penarth and passed the barrage, Dr building and wildlife section. There were yachts and wind surfers to watch. If you don't want to spend money there is plenty to see or maybe just sit on a seat and watch people.

there is something for everyone, restaurants, theatre ,a walk along the barrage and if you fancy, there's always a boat trip into the city, which drop's you off by the Stadium in town.

Never tire of strolling around this area. Lots of atmosphere. Great restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Take a waterbus to Penarth or into the city, or have a trip round the bay in the little Daffodil boat. Lovely!

Modern but full of character, had a wander through after a recent theatre trip. Looked like there were plenty of well known bars and restaurants to try, wish it hadn't been so late when we passed through. Was a little surprised at how quiet it was at 10.30 on a Saturday night though. Really beautiful.
