This is a great wee ''Man's Bar'' in the public bar area, great choice of beers and alcohol. It has changed names and owners quite a lot over the last few years but it is still the same cozy old fashioned pub. They always did great meals in the lounge. We've got to go to these pubs or we'll lose them.

Staff were pleasant efficient and on the ball. Chicken pakora was home made lovely big pieces well worth the money and better than the Indians. Pate was a generous portion and great along with oatcakes. Peppercorn chicken was delicious along with potatoes didn't have much veg though. Desserts were lush we enjoyed them. Food is nicely presented. Cosy wee place. I would recommend the place to others.

Took my sister in law in for lunch and could not fault it. Everything was piping hot and although not the cheapest pub lunch, certainly everyone of us enjoyed itand had no complaints. Will definitely visit again. The only down point was waitress was a bit frosty, but youngwaiter was excellent.

Having been endorsed by owner to go back to pub/ restaurant after having a bad experience at callums 4 weeks ago i was disappointed to note that acccepting his recomendation i was told to phone him at home to discuss. His attitude changed after our conversation I was advised I was welcome only if I appologised to the rude member of staff who would decide if I be welcomed backWhy I would apologise to a person who was rude to customers is a mystery to meHardly a welcoming

Just moved to the area so thought we would try our new local bar, food was lovely, just enough to fill you up. I got peppercorn chicken with mash which was delicious and my fiancé got steak pie which he enjoyed also (he is a fussy bugger at times :) service was great and we didn't wait long for food :) will definitely come again.

have been in Callums often for a drink or for a lunch as a couple and food and service has always been great but tonight was party of a party of 11 - five of whom were children - and have to say it was fantastic. Menu was not extensive but there was something for everyone and all reasonably priced, freshly prepared, nicely served and delicious! Staff were exceptionally nice and couldn't do enough for us. We eat out as a family group quite often and this will now be top of our list. (just wish the licensing laws in Scotland would mean we could all stay out a bit longer - the band who were playing were great). Why travel further afield when we have such a gem on our doorstep ??

This is a popular pub which does good honest pub grub in the lounge area. I visit often and the standard of food is always high and the staff are pleasant and helpful. Never have I left this premise without being fully content with the experience.
