We always enjoy the food here & the Christmas menu was excellent choice & price. It is good for couples, groups of friends or larger groups on a golf day out.

My partner and I took a drive down from Edinburgh to play golf , we were greeted into the club and shown around , we were made exceptionally welcome by staff and members , we thoroughly enjoyed the course and had a fabulous lunch in the clubhouse at very good rates , we enjoyed it so much web decided to re return next month . Thanks to everyone at the club , we look forward to playing etc again real soon .

Came here yesterday for lunch the club house was buzzing as it was the final day of the Ryder cup and Europe won!! Our lunch was served by lovely waitress's the food was delicious and plentiful served on hot plates and presented well you cannot fault the chef and its very reasonable and a very comfortable restaurant with lovely views over the golf club definitely recommend this place

Running along a valley in the borders of Scotland this golf course sits above the town of Peebles.The views of this historic town are spectacular.Its not a long course but still very challenging. A member gave me a tip that "all putts run to Peebles". Wise advice as the greens are very tricky. The club house is basic but still well appointed for a small town club. The secretary was very helpful and our booking was handled speedily online.If you are in that part of the world I urge you take time out and play this course.You wont be disappointed.

Our family group of 8 played this delightful course on the 14th September and were more than impressed with the condition of the fairways and greens and the friendliness of the staff. The only downside is that it is too far away ( I live in Bedfordshire ) to pop up regularly but we shall return.

Played at peebles golf club thurs 26th june. Just like to say thanks for the superb welcome we got as visitors. Golf coarse great, club house great, food excellent, staff best we have come across in a long time, we shall be playing again there. Thanks john + mark

I'm not a golfer but eat here fairly often with family and friend. Always a good meal and always "specials" on the board. Friendly efficient service and great value.

Our party of 8 were made very welcome from start to finish on day at Peebles. Course in very good condition, with a nice layout, good value for money and well worth a visit, i will play it again if in the area. Food very good and reasonably priced, bar a waiting staff made use very welcome

First time playing this course having played Macdonald Hotel Cardrona the previous day, this was a better experience.Round booked via their website, very quick and easy, especially on a mobile phone and restricted internet coverage.On arrival at the course was met by Bill, who showed us the locker area etc and from the onset made us feel welcome.Decided to use motor buggies, and enjoy the whole day.What a fantastic course to play, green keepers very friendly, showing the way ...Was really surprised by the condition of the course with the amount of rain that had fallen previously, fairways were immaculate, and the greens were awesome. Fast smooth. Son and I commented that this was a great course.Well laid out with just enough to make you think on your shot..After our round we retired to the bar and were met with staff who and patrons who were very friendly and made us feel welcome.A big thank you to Bill, and also the green keeping staff who keep the course in the condition that it was .Will be back soon.

This is the 3rd time i have played this course and it is a great course for all handicap golfers. A well laid out course with every hole having a different way of playing it. A excellent clubhouse were all visitors are made welcome with great service and excellent catering. Well worth the visit.

The catering in the Clubhouse is consistently good whether you visit for a meal or a snack. Food is well priced, portions are great, food is well presented. Drinks are reasonably priced too. Nice views too.

My brother and I played this excellent course on a beautiful summers day in July. The course was in lovely condition and the greens were superb. It was a pleasure to play except............we had the misfortune to be playing in front of a member three ball, one of whom clearly has no time for visitors on "his" course. He harassed us for the first few holes, hands on hips, shouting "hurry up, play faster" etc. After a while I could take no more and told him to back off. We finished our round on time, having at times waited patiently and happily behind two elderly members ahead of us and we were at least a hole ahead of the "moaner." I mentioned his behaviour to the club secretary who knew immediately who it was, and said he would "have a word." Why am I writing this? Because it is characters like this who stop people taking up the game of golf. He spoilt our experience and we are pretty hard headed businessmen. I am a 13 handicapper, my brother plays occasionally. However, the clubhouse is modern and has a lovely balcony to enjoy a couple of cold beers. The other members we met and all the staff were very friendly. One even drew a map for us to get to Muirfield easier, a lovely touch. I would love to play the course again and will one day, hoping Mr Full Of Himself, "ex Captain don't you know", is having a day off.

On 080913 I played at Peebles GC with four other golfers, we went out in. 3 ball and a 2 ball. Prior to playing we had a snack in the clubhouse which was delicious. The course was in excellent condition and although not as long as a lot of courses you had to think your way round the course. The greens were fast but very true. After the round of golf we had a meal in the clubhouse, the meals were excellent.The staff in the clubhouse made you feel very welcome and the service both at the bar and whilst having our meal could not be faulted, nothing was any trouble and always with a smile.All in all a great day was had by all.

An interesting hilly course with lovely views over the town & hills on both sides. A friendly Clubhouse with excellent catering, whether for a snack or full meal at good value prices.
