Had a great family visit. Kids loved all the interactive bits and they learned things too. Well worth a visit.

A wonderful place for kids and adults alike. The triumphs and tragedies of Fraserburgh and its famous sons and daughters are very interesting. The kids like all the hands on displays too. Many thanks.

Visited with my primary 3 class who have been finding out about Fraserburgh for their topic. The guides were really informative and kept the children's interest throughout the visit. There was plenty of hands on things to do too. Their favourites were landing then packing the herring into the barrels, driving the inshore lifeboat and beach train and dressing up in clothes from the past. The exhibits are well displayed and maintained by volunteers from the localarea. So if in the area, spend a few hours here, you won't be disappointed.

Myself and other leaders took the beavers to the heritage museum for a trip. The boys thourghly enjoyed themselves and seeing what it was like many years ago. A few parents have commented on how much the children enjoyed themself. Worth the visit and thank you to the volunteers who gave up their free time to tell the boys the hostory and all the background. Thank you 46th Aberdeen scout group (beavers)

I have visited the heritage centre several times and each time there is something new to see. The audio tour is very good and hearing local people share their own stories is fascinating. The staff who are all volunteers are very welcoming and helpful. There is so much to see and do make sure you give yourself plenty of time, especially if you have children who all enjoy the experience.

My daughter and I spent a lovely couple of hours here last week, learning a lot about the area in which we live. A great balance of information for kids and adults alike. Great variety of information.

Visited here with family who had moved away from the area some years ago. They really enjoyed it. Very interesting visit. Very well laid out. Sparked a lot of olden day stories and tales. Elaine on reception very pleasant and helpful. Returning again before they go home.

Called for a quick visit here, with 3 children (8,10,14), only cost £12 entry, and we ended up staying 3 hours. An excellent range of displays, all with plenty of hands-on exhibits for all ages. From collecting herrings from a boat and packing the barrels full, to typing messages in morse code, and racing to the Anderson shelter when the air raid siren sounded, we all found it interesting, informative and really good fun. Well worth a visit.

I visited this museum with my 11 year old daughter who was keen to go after seeing the family-friendly leaflet. We spent an absorbing hour there (would have spent longer had we gone earlier in the day). She loved the hands-on stuff for kids, all very educational, and I loved the overview of the town's history and its many claims to fame. I left with a much greater appreciation of the area and its significance and am very glad we made time to visit. Highly recommended, especially for families.

Visited the centre for the first time recently. What a gem it turned out to be - and very conveniently situated next to the Scottish Lighthouse Museum. It was packed with things to do for kids whilst they learned about a whole range of life and work in older times. Very informative for adults too and an excellent cross referencing system on the displays to enable further information on the subject to be accessed in the library before exiting the centre. The cost was very, very reasonable and the intended hour there turned into an hour and a half - and still needed more time. Will definitely go back on my next visit. Staff (all volunteers) very helpful and friendly

This is a brilliant place to take school children as they get to have hands on experiences throughout the centre. Staff are very friendly and accommodated our group through the whole trip. We were there with children aged 7-10 years and sent over one and half hours going round the centre. Cost is very cheap £14 pounds for a family of 2 adults 2 children. Well worth a visit.

Took my very hard to please kids here last Wednesday under protest. Within five minutes they were having a great time reeling in fish off of a boat. We were here for over two hours and it was just £10 for a family ticket. Bargain. Staff were most helpful too.

Well worth a visit especially with children of all ages.
