An excellent place to spend the day. Very cultural and educational. Amazing gardens with lake, lots of ducks, geese and swans. Very friendly peaceful people who offered us an amazing lunch. Small farm to feed the cows. Had a nice day would return.

I have visited Bhaktivedanta Manor many times over the years and I love it. The people that live there are welcoming the guests that visit are always friendly and for atmosphere it really doesn't get more tranquil than this. Beautiful building and beautiful grounds, try and visit when they have one of the open days in the summer where there is loads food available too. Worth taking the kids to, to learn about other people, cultures, religions and other ways of life. I don't remember there being a charge for this visit so if there was it was minimal.

Peaceful and tranquil. The place to go to for a break from the daily rigmarole. The onsite restaurant is very good.

Set in a very large green space this temple is a fantastic place to visit with your family and friends. Whether you believe in God or not I would recommend visiting the temple and enjoy the screen environment. You will get opportunity to feed cows if that interest you and might get s chance to but organic local grown vegetables. Lovely place.

There is nothing to dislike about the Manor. The people there are ALL friendly and welcoming. There are lots of activities, festivals, retreats and events that everyone is welcome to attend, not just for the residents.Go, you won't look back, I haven't

I'm not a particularly religious man, however the experience I received at the manor was a magical one. Sociable as friendly people from all walks of life happy to share a story. Every question I had was answered and we were warmly invited in to sing, pray and share a delicious vegetarian dinner with warm milk freshly squeezed from the on site cows!

We visited the manor today for a wedding. Our first experience of a Vedic ceremony, but it was amazing. The priest and staff were excellent, and the food we had for lunch was out of this world.Beautiful place with spectacular shrines and a very peaceful woodland walk.

After having a look on trip advisor this morning for something to do we decided to have a mooch here and see what it was all about. How glad were we that we did?!What a truly lovely place, filled with truly lovely people. I have to say that normally, if I'd of seen a group of Hare Krishnas in town then I would have smiled politely, and walked straight past. However, the people couldn't of been more welcoming or more friendly. Everyone smiled at us, and greeted us with 'Hare Krishna', a few people asked us if it was out first time there, which of course it was. They were more than happy to chat with us about the grounds, the animals, the gardens, and the temple, showing us where to get the free food to feed the cattle with, as well as where to go for our delicious free lunch! One kindly chap even gave us a little tour, without any mention of religion or conversion!Everyone we met was extremely polite, kind and considerate, full of smiles and knowledge. We walked our lunch off with a leisurely stroll around the lake, observing the ducks, geese, moorhens and squirrels, before diverting off to the bakery to refuel. We also took advantage of the wonderful fresh produce on sale, bringing home several varieties of vegetables. We rounded the day off with a sedate tour of the working side of the farm area on our Ox driven cart. All in all, a great day out for couples, families, or single travellers alike. We will definitely be back!

We visited in July and really enjoyed our visit. They practice sustainable farming using ox power! There is also a gift shop and bakery. You can purchase cakes, and hot snacks like pizza, pasta chips and samosa's at very reasonable prices.

To get the most out of visiting the Manor, I'd say you're better off visiting for a spiritual event, like when there is the sacred chant music. That said, any day is nice. I visited this temple for the first time around 7.00am in the morning in early September 1993. There was celestial chant music and singing when I arrived. The building and hallways seemed deserted, as everyone was in the temple. I found myself running down the corridor to get into the chant. It was an extraordinary experience that I'm very grateful for. Since then I've visited several times, although we live in Ireland. Sunday is perhaps the best day to visit, although it can be a bit busy.

Went there to visit and a few times to attend the prayers. They do not try to convert you or push you into believing anything. It is your choice what you believe in.Very peaceful. Walked around, had food ( the most delicious food ever ). Beautiful grounds.

I would only recommend this for traveler's with an open mind, and respect/interest in different cultures. Recommended more for an older, mature and cultured audience as it is quite tranquil and quite laidback. That being said the grounds are beautiful, spacious, and full of wonderful gardens. In particular, the George Harrison memorial garden which was recently dedicated in 2013 is a must see. It is designed intricately with nature, spirituality, and architecture to honor the late Beatle and Krishna devotee George Harrison. The dining hall serves(free) vegetarian breakfast, lunch and dinner, roughly at 8:00, 1:00, and 5:00.You will be able to see people lining up at the back entrance of the temple with plates. The food is prepared to make sure that a large number of visitors can enjoy, and is taken from the grounds which is gardened holistically.
