A beautiful setting, well work the visit. The gardens are a sight to below. Lots of events during the summer.

I am happy to hear that you thought the castle was beautiful. Although we are only open during the week, we are open until 8pm, so people who are at work during the day have the opportunity to visit in the evening. I am sorry to hear that you were disappointed by the gift shop; stock does vary from year to year. Thank you for your comments.

Very good to hear you enjoyed your time at Rockingham Speedway, but we are actually Rockingham Castle and don't have anything to with them. Still lovely to hear good things about the other attractions in the area!

It is amazing how high up we actually are - you can see five counties from the castle which really does emphasise its defensive position. I do recommend the tea room for your next visit as the cakes are delicious!

Thank you for your kind review. The castle certainly is worthy of being in a film! Have a look out for 'Top Secret' or 'By the Sword Divided' in which we were used a location.

Glad to hear you enjoyed your visit. I definitely recommend seeing inside the castle next time too! The wild garden is certainly a contrast with the elegant hedge, but I think it is wonderful that we have two such extremes in our gardens here.

What a fantastic idea for a birthday outing! I definitely agree that doing the outside tour first is a good idea as it gives you a sense of context before you go inside. We are also very lucky with our guides here as they are all very knowledgeable and enthusiastic!
