We arrived for our Meerkat Experience just as the weather stopped raining, we were greeted by Staff who were all freindly and they explained what we were going to do. We were split into small groups which was nice then we were taken to our first Meerkats, on passing a large Parrot on the way that shouted "Hello" that made us all laugh, we held one year old Meerkats that had lovely characters then we fed and stroked baby Meerkats, after that we went into the wild Meerkat enclosure and fed them, they were so comical jumping on and off our knees, a lovely experience overall well worth the money, I can't comment about the actual Farm as it was still shut at the time but, walking through it we will definately be returning to visit the Farm and try a different experience.

I went along with my dad after he was bought the experience as a Christmas present. The experience was thoroughly enjoyable; we spent time with the lemurs, the meerkats, spectacled owl and the reptiles. There was plenty of time in each enclosure and the member of staff who took us through the experience was really friendly and let you get involved in touching the animals and feeding them. The group size was nice (8 of us in total) although as it was out of season I presume this may be bigger in the summer months. The rest of the farm was closed off but I'm looking forward to going back during the summer and exploring it some more.

This was purchased as a Christmas Present for my partner. The experience was fantastic, the staff are extremely informative and the experience with the cats was awesome. The Caracal was lovely and so were the Servals. It was a bonus to meet the 9 week old Meerkats also. We are going to book the Meerkat experience.

Paid for the 1/2 day zookeeper experience as a present for my son. The location is easy to find and experiences run even when the main site is closed for the off-season and so they can build and upgrade for the upcoming year. We were with 3 other couples and the staff were very accomodating to all who attended, even those who were not actually taking part.We visited four animal enclosures; lemurs, meerkats, owls and reptiles. The only ones we weren't encouraged to touch were the lemurs, although they happily ate out of our hands. The guide gave us all confidence in being around the creatures with her knowledge and obvious love of the animals. Some of the interactions are sheltered or indoors, but certainly dress for the weather. My son enjoyed every moment of his day, and couldn't choose a favourite when pressed later. Personally, the size and power of the snake was my favourite, how beautiful she was.The only downside was the rest of the park not being open to explore, but I'm sure we'll return for another visit.

Had a great time yesterday, best thing I've ever done. The meerkats were brilliant and the staff were very good . I would definitely recommend and would go back again

Amazing value, we had an hour with them in total split into 3 sections: first we in a group of 4 with the hand reared meerkats (VERY cute!). Then fed the indoor meerkats, finally the outdoor group. All the guides were very knowledgeable and friendly, animals are so clearly loved. Hoo Farm itself was closed for the season; will definitely be returning when it's opened to support a local business.

I had the lemur experience as a birthday present and added on the wildcat experience. We have done many lemur experiences but this is the closest one to home. We arrived a bit too early (our fault, too eager!) and ended up having to walk around the car park as it was closed season. When we went in we were the only 2 doing the lemur/wildcat experience, which was a bonus! First we visited the ringtailed lemurs, these are rescued lemurs aged 19-21 and the staff have clearly worked hard with them to gain their trust. We then went to visit the caracal who was in a very playful mood! Now the wildcats aren't rescued, we were told they were acquired from another collection at 8 weeks old and hand reared at Hoo farm. I've always had a concern for wild cats in captivity particularly those which aren't as much a risk of extinction. However hand rearing can greatly reduce the stress of having humans around and experiences such as this can be a form of enrichment. The caracal had also been harness trained so it can be walked outside of its enclosure again providing enrichment. We fully appreciated that these animals are wild and can be unpredictable with temperament and do not always want human attention! The servals were happy for more of a fuss! Their enclosures provided them with there requirements and were very high. The only thing I noticed was there wasn't much vegetation in the enclosures (tall grass, shrubs etc). I did spot that the caracal did have a kong toy in its enclosure, fab to see these used for wild animals :-) After the wildcats we went back to feed the black and white ruffed lemurs again these were rescued and the female June was particularly greedy!! Overall as a family run farm I would recommend a visit, Will and his team are very friendly and are clearly working hard with the species they have. We will go again in open season as after our hour we were shown to the exit. We saw some of the other species as we walked passed but it would be interesting to spend more time there. Although these species are tamer please please don't think if you book an experience you are guaranteed to have a cuddle, they are wild animals and they are unpredictable and this is the exact reason they should not be kept as pets. I feel this is one thing Hoo Farm could promote more too. Many thanks thanks for our experience.

We visited in March 2014,and again March 2015.Last year the whole farm was open, but this visit fri 6th March, the other parts of the the farm were closed,BUT that was fine,as there were plenty of staff around, working, when we got there. And were very pleasant and chatty. Both experiences were brought as gifts for me.The hour does not go quickly, and I have to be honest,on both occasions I have had a good amount of time over the hours experience. The staff are knowledgeable, and let you get the most out of your experience. There is certainly lots of feeding, holding, playing and stroking of the meerkats on the experience.I would certainly recommend one as a gift.I am hoping for a third one as a gift!!,THANK YOU WILL,AND YOUR TEAM...REBECCA on the fri 6th March 12 .00 noon experience,I super time was had by myself and Craig, and we got lots of great photos.Hope to see you again next year to see my favouriteFurry friends.x

We love Hoo Farm and have been going there for years,The farm is clean, wash areas all over the farm.Great interaction with the staff and animals. Loads for the children to do in the play areas, A lovely tea room and a great day out. The animal experiences are the best and the staff know actually what they are doing. All animals are well looked after and you can tell that. Lambing season is a great time to be there,My son loves feeding the lambs and goats at Hoo Farm. The Christmas nativity is a must so much work goes into it,Your child can join in and real animals are used and they are well looked after during the short play.

My grandchildren all know how I like Meerkats .....the little fellows make me laugh and my back garden is home to several 'model' meerkats. Imagine my delight when they included the MEERKAT EXPERIENCE among my birthday presents. It was a cool March day, but a small group of us were conducted on a short tour which took us to the 'semi-wild' meerkat enclosure where I had the opportunity to feed the young meerkats with an assortment of fruit and berries, This was followed by a main course of live grubs! Not for the squeamish, but you can just watch if you wish. Our guide, Becky, explained the background of the meerkats and was happy to answer questions from all the group,Moving on to another enclosure, there was the opportunity to 'handle' either one of two hand-reared meerkats. Lovely 'Oika' (apparently pronounced Eeka) was a warm little chap who snuggled himself half inside my jacket - apparently it's a favourite occupation - and also had a spell sitting on my shoulder, He stayed remarkably stable enabling me to tickle his little chin.All-in-all a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
