We went to on of the Christmas themed days in Dec 2014 and it was lovely, over 100 reindeer, which you can feed, sleigh rides with the reindeer, donkeys, good snacks and drinks, plenty of parking (overflow is on grass so can get a little soft underfoot but hey we are in England! There's a modestly priced gift shop too!Indoors there are craft things the kids can make, and eat too. Also included in the admission is a photo.Went again March 1st for a 'Frozen' themed day, with Elsa and Anna singing (yes...not miming like similar acts)...my daughter loved this. The sing-along sessions are full audience participation, plus a prize for best dressed child.Kids could make an edible Olaf from three different sized marshmallow pieces plus chocolate stick arms raisins for buttons, etc.Sleigh rides available again.Attentive staff, who all seem to love working there, which is refreshing. The heavens opened and they went around informing people and pointing out if they haven't bought the right shoes, or if the Elsa's and Anna's don't want to get muddy, that they might want to move their cars. The weather persisted and they bought forward the sing-along session in the afternoon to avoid any upset and waiting around.Sells out quickly, next ones are probably Easter, check the website.Don't forget this is the biggest Reindeer herd in the country, lots of whom were seen in the 2014 film Get Santa!Enjoy!

We visited on Sunday for the Frozen experience with our nearly 5 year old and daughter and 2 year old son who are both Frozen mad, especially my daughter. The meet and greet with Anna and Elsa was great and we got some lovely photos, the girls were really good with all the kids giving them a hug and chatting to them. The queue moved quite quickly but when it was your turn it didn't seem rushed at all. Both children loved feeding all the reindeer. They are beautiful animals and all look really well cared for and looked after. The Build a Snowman activity could have been a bit better organised, we were just given a bag and left to work it out for ourselves how it went together, which wasn't hard but would have been a bit nicer to have engaged with the kids a bit more. We were really disappointed with the Sing-a-long - it sounded great, but it was so over-crowded we didn't see a thing. My daughter and I still managed to join in with the singing though and the girls sounded great! Talking of overcrowding, the barn where most of the Frozen activities took place was very crowded the whole time we were there. With so many over-excited small children running about I was shocked to see that they were serving hot drinks in cups without lids. I hold some children's events locally sometimes and our public liability insurance states that we must serve hot drinks in cups with lids so I was really surprised at that. I imagine the lodge is magical at Christmas time and we would definitely come back one year for Christmas. Get some lids for those cups though guys, it would only take a child bumping into someone for them to be scalded and its so easily avoided. All in all though we had a lovely time.

We had a really magical time at Blithbury's Frozen day yesterday. Our 3 year old (just like many other girls her age) is completely obsessed with all things Frozen and this certainly didn't disappoint. The event was extremely well planned out and there was plenty to keep the children occupied throughout the whole day. Even our 11 month old seemed to really enjoy herself. The characters were all a real pleasure - we weren't rushed at all during the meet and greet sessions (we even went back several times) and they were enthusiastic throughout. A special mention must go to Olaf who patiently played with our daughter for large amounts of time during the day and stayed in character wonderfully - our little ice queen was absolutely made up. The singalong was brilliant too - Elsa & Anna had great voices and really engaged the audience. The staff were so friendly and helpful and this really added to the great experience. It's a family run business and this really comes across in the excellent way the place is run and looked after. They are all really passionate about the reindeer and have an in depth knowledge and understanding of these fascinating animals, which they are happy to share with you if you are interested. The Reindeer Man and his daughter were so lovely and worked really hard front of house (along with all the other staff) to ensure everyone had a fantastic time. The pricing of the overall event and any extras on the day was all refreshingly reasonable. It was also great to see that although a busy sell out event with a great atmosphere, there weren't so many people that it made it over crowded. We didn't have to queue long for any of the activities and had great seats at both of the singalongs. The cafe was also excellent. The food was delicious and great value - £3.50 for homemade soup & a well filled sandwich. Lovely cakes and big pots of tea too.The highlight of our day was our daughter winning the afternoon's best dressed - we will always remember seeing her eyes light up as she was presented with a lovely basket of Frozen goodies and she hasn't stopped talking about being the winner.Well done and a big thank you to all at Blithbury, we will definitely be back. We look forward to hearing about your forthcoming events although this one may be hard to beat! xxx

We follow Blithbury reindeer lodge on facebook, we went for the first time at Christmas which was a fantastic day out, by far the best Father Christmas experience going.Today we went for the Frozen day, our 5 year old daughter is frozen mad, (like most children out there). She met Anna and Elsa and had her photo taken with them, sat by a roaring open fire. Olaf was wondering around playing with the children and being given lots of warm hugs from everyone, young and old. There was the opportunity to have a photo on a sledge with a real reindeer, then also a sleigh ride. We also made a marshmallow olaf, thoroughly entertaining. Whilst waiting for the sing along with the characters we went into the shed to feed the young reindeer's. The staff and owners were great with everyone, we had a talk about the different types of deer, even learning their names and how they could be identified. Can't wait to hear what they are going to do at Easter, we will definitely be back, it is great value for money and everyone is so friendly knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Really hoping that the reindeer man is going to start doing holidays as we would definitely be one family who would go.Cannot recommend the reindeer lodge enough. People of all ages will enjoy it.

Being just a few miles away I could not believe we had never heard of Blithbury Lodge before. We took our 2 year old son to the Frozen themed day and he had such a blast. He is not a huge Frozen lover, he's seen it a couple of times but the day really got him involved and excited. Firstly, we purchased some reindeer treats and went to visit them. With it being winter they were all in stables. It was nice to see how well looked after they were, the stables were kept clean which is an important thing for us. The reindeer were so sweet and adorable. We were told they have no top teeth so it was very safe for our son to feed them, which was nice for him to do without being too worried. He really got a thrill from it, he kept running back to see them. They also have a few horses and donkeys which were nice to stroke. We then went into the main barn where all the activities took place. It exceeded my expectations somewhat as the barn had lots of little touches. It had a wood fire burning, where you could meet Anna and Elsa and have a photo, a face painting studio, an area for building a marshmallow Olaf ( which I think was my sons favorite! ) and a stage where they preform a few songs from the movie. The seating were log stumps which I thought was really nice, gave it that rustic feel instead of just a few chairs thrown together. All the kids in the crowd loved the sing a long, it was great to hear them joining in. Then they gave away a Frozen hamper to the best dressed child which I thought was a lovely touch. I've got to say that Anna was my favorite. She was such a perfect match, she looked the part and sounded beautiful, even my son sat with her for a photo which I was very surprised at, she must have been very convincing to him! Olaf was also seen wondering around for photos and cuddles. We had such a lovely day out and all of the staff were very kind and cheery from the beginning, which you don't get very often these days! It was excellent value for money being under £30 for a family of three. We shall definately be visiting again! Thank you Blithbury for lovely family memories!

We have been to the reindeer lodge many times since having children and we love it there. Every year it gets better and over the past 12 months has a brand new look and feel. It is now like Lapland in the UK, there's a real modern but traditional feel to it, encompassing the Scandinavian lodge style. The staff are all lovely and welcoming and the reindeer are incredibly tame and beautiful. The Elves at Christmas were cheeky, making us laugh our socks off and Santa was the real deal. He spent ages with our children going into great deal about Christmas Eve, our children were in total awe of him. We more recently had the opportunity to visit the Lodge for their sold out Frozen event which was totally magical, everything was taken into consideration (even carrots as olafs noses in the cafe). The children had things to do the whole time, which makes a family day out so much easier! Watch out for the 'Reindeers are better than people' performance, it was hillarious a definite highlight for us. We would highly recommend the Lodge to anyone considering a visit. Enjoy!!!!

We visited Blithbury Reindeer Lodge today on one of the 'Frozen' themed days and it was probably the best day of our 2 year old daughter's life!! From the very first moment, when we drove into the car park, we were greeted by the friendliest staff possible. The customer service here is absolutely second to none, down to the fact that they even informed us of possible delays on our way to them due to roadworks!! Now that's incredible!! Every single member of staff was chatty, helpful and so keen to ensure that we were having a great experience and the welfare of the reindeer was always at the heart of the organisation, as it should be. The 'Frozen' theme was absolutely brilliant and I'm not sure who was more excited, my daughter or me! The sing along was just fantastic, Anna and Elsa were brilliant and so friendly when you saw them walking round the lodge and at the meet and greet, as was Olaf! The sleigh ride was lovely and my daughter would have spent all day on it. My daughter did not stop dancing and singing and skipping and jumping around all day through sheer excitement and it will be a memory we will all treasure for many years to come. Thank you to all the wonderful staff that made our day absolutely perfect and we can't wait to see what treats you have for us at Easter and Christmas!! Look forward to seeing you all again xx

What can I say - Blithbury has it all. It's great value for money and the staff are fantastic. They are approachable, helpful and love their job! The sleigh rides and feeding the reindeer are tremendous fun and the "frozen" activities were well organised and great fun. The cafe sells lovely cake too! We shall definitely be visiting again.

I went along to Blithbury Reindeer Lodge today with a very excited 3 year old who is a big Anna fan and a 17 month old. We had such a wonderful time and wanted to thank all the staff for all their hard work and giving us such a great day. From meeting Anna and Elsa (having as much time as we wanted with them, and not being rushed at all) and who both made the effort to talk to our little ones, to the 'build a snowman' activity, which we all got involved with (and ate) to the sing-along session, which was brilliant. So funny when 'Sven started to sing-along'. We had such a wonderful day out. Brilliant for kids and great fun for adults too. We all had our dinner in the café too, lovely homemade food, great scones, toasties and a massive pot of tea, which was incredibly cheap. I'd definitely recommend a visit to anyone who wants a great day out with the kids. I think what makes this place is great is they go the extra mile and genuinely seem want to make sure all their visitors have a great day. I've never been anywhere where the customer service is so faultless. The staff were so friendly and made such an effort. Thanks again for a wonderful day, we will definitely be back!

We visited with a 3 and a 2 year old and had a wonderful day with the reindeer and the frozen characters. The farm is small and well maintained with really friendly staff on hand all the time to help, chat and share their reindeer knowledge!! The children loved the frozen theme and enjoyed meeting Elsa, Anna and Olaf. The singalong was great and they had fun making and eating marshmallow Olafs!! All in all a really good few hours and two very worn out and happy children!

From start to finish we had a great time. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities are good not to mention the reindeer who were wonderful. We were there for a special "Frozen" day which was amazing. A very well organised event, everything was thought through. Worth every penny!

We've just visited the Frozen event and had an absolutely wonderful time. Excellent organisation, friendly staff and lots to do. The sing along was the star attraction with Sven the reindeer singing at the end and "let it go" a particular highlight. I took my sister and her family along this time- we've now been 3 times- and she was also very impressed. Thank you to the staff for a great event. See you at Christmas.

Thank you for taking the time to review our Christmas experience. We were very surprised and disappointed to hear that you felt that the Lodge didn't have much to offer visitors except a look at the reindeer. We were fully booked for our Christmas event and received amazing reviews on here, on our Facebook page and on several blogging sites, with a lot of people commenting how much there was to do during their visit. In addition to seeing, feeding and fussing the largest reindeer herd in England, which ranges from baby calves to large sleigh pullers, we had a host of activities taking place during this event, the majority of which were included in the entrance fee like story-time with Mrs Claus and Elf School. We are confused by your comment about the sleigh rides as this area is manned by staff in uniforms and the sleighs, which are traditional Scandinavian sleighs used in Lapland, are pulled by the reindeer with the staff leading the reindeer and providing a guiding hand on turns. We're however pleased to hear that you requested, and were provided, with a refund for your unused sleigh ride with no fuss although I can assure you that this is a sign of our commitment to excellent customer service and is not because this is requested often. The reindeers used for the photographs are specially trained and are harnessed to the sleigh for no more than a couple of hours at a time with adequate periods for rest and they are changed over regularly. They have access to food whilst in harness and are very happy to fulfil this role. As a licensed zoo, animal welfare is our absolute priority and we would not make any of our animals do any tasks that they weren't comfortable doing. Finally thank you for your comment about our staff, we're pleased to note that you found them helpful and that our car parking attendant was able to assist you during you visit.

a lovely experience for families with young Elsa or Anna's and olafs (and grown up frozen fans too)! a well themed and thought out day with lots to do included in the admission price. meet and greet with Elsa and then Anna by the fireside and the beautiful young ladies took time to talk to the children who had queued to see them. Olaf was around too and helped the children 'build a snowman' out of marshmallows and other yummy treats! Sleigh rides, face painting, a lovely photo in the sleigh with Sven the reindeer (no extra charge for the photo) and then a fantastic sing-a-long where Anna ,Elsa and Sven sang the favourites form the film (no miming and not just the CD). Plenty of friendly staff around to help with the activities and what was very lovely that all the members of this family run business were around all day talking to the children and assisting with the queues. we did have to queue but not for long and my 4 year old didn't seem to mind at all! The refreshments were very reasonably priced and easy to grab a cup of tea, coffee or hot choc while the kids were busy with their magical day! just lovely!
