I've continued to visit the Vaults over the last 15 months, and it has settled into being the go-to pub in Devizes. The range of ever-changing draught and bottled beers is a constant delight - you never know what new brew is going to be on offer each time you go in. The quirky and customised decor has continued to evolve. The Lovett's pies continue as a mainstay and very tasty offering - the perfect accompaniment to a pint. The real gem of the place though, the thing that makes it stand out, is the charming, helpful & witty service from Lexie & Alise, who are always able to offer interesting tasting advice to customers old & new. Such a change from the casual and indifferent service you tend to get elsewhere! Recommended as a must-visit place in Devizes.

I pop in the pub for an excellent pie and a pint of real and interesting beer after a morning's walk. Lovely atmosphere and such friendly and intelligent bar staff who love their job. They only sell beer so if your partner wants something involving an umbrella and a cherry, visit there with someone else.

This is a truly excellent watering hole… an excellent range of beers, wine and cider — and very friendly staff. The lack of a TV definitely is a real plus. Always our first choice to meet up in Devizes — despite the early closing time.

Thanks for your review and kind words about our staff and venue. Unfortunately we have a blanket ban on all forms of music as part of our planning permission. We agree that a little background music during the quieter times would be nice but we have to respect both the law and our residential neighbours. Hope to see you again soon!

I have lived in Devizes all my life and this far surpasses everything else in the area. EVERYTHING. Amazing selection of drinks from all over the world, fantastic pies, and genuinely enthusiastic, knowledgable staff. Would recommend to anyone and everyone!

We'd been recommended this little pub by family and it didn't disappoint. A fantastic range of real ale for the boys and some gorgeous ciders for the girls (think elderflower, bramble and proper scrumpy) plus amazing freshly cooked pies. Really attentive, friendly and knowledgeable staff who gave top class service - the only thing we couldn't understand was why it was so empty on a Saturday afternoon! Bizarrely there was still a lovely warm pleasant atmosphere and we'd go back again in a flash.

Like the Doctor who Tardis it is bigger on the inside then it appears. The staff are enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the wild range of beers. Sells some nice Lovett pies too.

First time visit having walked past a couple of times and cant believe I have not been in before. Great enthusiastic (but not in your face) staff, fantastic beer (try the paddles selection) and good pies.

What a great fun place, The staff know's the beers well and are friendly, With a vast Bottle range there will be something for every one, Great choice of Ale's on the pumps,Wonderful Pies to fill a hole if your peckish,It is a must for any Ale drinker or if your new to the world of Ale it's a great place to start.
