I think the parking fee is especially high...I know its NT but £5 for 2 hours is a lot! Make sure you get all the way to the top as the views are amazing. You get to see far out onto Ullswater. We walked up past the picnic benches, turning left. A few slippy areas but that shouldn't be a problem if you have proper footwear. Not buggy friendly by any stretch of the imagination. .. Lots of tree stumps and rocks to sit and admire the view (and rest little and big legs). Crossed the new wooden bridge to head back down. More than one route to take so no need to rush. The only thing that spoiled our afternoon were the neatly hung bags of dog muck on the trees. Why pick it up if you are just going to leave it behind? ? Dirty people. ..

A lovely walk up the 3 waterfalls at Aira Force. There are a few steps, but the views are well worth it. Spectacular views across Ullswater and of the falls themselves. If you listen you can hear woodpeckers in the woodland.

beautiful walks and scenery, took some super photos. Not too hard to walk up and worth every step - Only cost us a fiver to park for a good day out. We went in march but im sure in the summer you could spend a whole day here taking in the sounds of nature - heard a woodpecker saw plenty of bird life didn't spot a red squirrel though even though we looked hard.

Beautiful!! The walk was stunning up to the waterfall and even in the rain.......it was worth it!! Maybe nexy time we will do it in Summer!

Excellent paths and lovely views. Good National Trust car park, clean toilets and a good tea room. Walk took about 2 hours and was very enjoyable. Not too strenuous!

well this place is purely breathtaking! There is an onsite natural trust carpark which is £5 to park for a couple of hours then you have 2 options in regards to routes-You can either take a right and take the 'lots of steps route' or take a left and go up the slope/a few steps route.We went for the slope route and the sights you see on the way up are phenominal. This place is somewhere you could spend hours and hours just looking at the stunning views.

A lovely place with beautiful scenery-if you can make it to the top it's definitely worth the climb! You could probably spend around an hour or more rambling through the woods or just 20 minutes if you just want to see the falls. It's about a 10 minutes climb to the top. Only given it 4 stars as the tearoom and visitor centre were closed so we can't comment on those. Be aware that you will have to pay for parking if your not an nt member!

Realy worth going to have a look, go to the top also if you can, you can drive round if you are not upto walking there

Nice little walk for all ages, beautiful waterfall and well preserved nature walks. Excellent photo ops at every corner .. Nice little tea room outside the parking, good food and good service there. Highly recommend this as a must see if your in the area

I really enjoyed our afternoon here. The water falls were at full force following the heavy rain that week (silver-lining) so it really was a sight worth seeing. The red squirrel & tree facts dotted about the area were a nice touch too.There are numerous bridges across the water so we walked all up/down the one side, then crossed & came back the other way so it made for a pleasurable visit with some stunning views.There are quite a few steps so this really isn't suitable for pushchairs or those who aren't up for it.We actually parked in a lay-by close to the falls so we didn't have to pay the parking costs.I'd strongly recommend this for a lovely half day visit if you want to take a picnic.

On a snowy day in Feb we arrived early almost before anyone else!, followed the path and took the left fork, after a short walk we saw some water coming over rocks, was this it? (yes it was in the end) surely not we have more water coming over the broken gutter at home. So we pushed on, lovely walk by the way, not to steep then came across another fall, wider but still not as I was expecting. We did meet another couple that had come up the other way and neither of us could decide which one was the waterfall. In the end walking back down the right fork the views of the water fall were somewhat better. I would describe this as a nice two hour walk in the woods with a stream coming over some rocks. Doesn't even come close to high force in Durham.

We loved our walk to the falls. They were very impressive and worth braving the cold and wet weather.

Good paths, fab waterfalls - easy to find without a map although it would be nice to have a board telling you were you are at key points (rather than buy a map)

A well maintained and beautiful National Trust location located next to Ullswater Lake.The walk is quite steep and rocky in places and is not appropriate for those with children in pushchairs. However, the paths are well maintained and the views are stunning.Would really recommend visiting this attraction.

Excellent parking and picnic facilities. Also very good maintenance of footpaths. Well signposted routes, with shorter and longer walks available. Interesting enough to hold the attention of our children and such a stunning place.We didn't go into the visitor centre but it's prominently located in the car park for those that need it.
