Hi LesleyThanks very much for taking the trouble to write a review. We are delighted to hear how much you enjoyed our ice creams. I’m sorry, however, that you were disappointed with the set up of our parlour at the farm. Yes it is just a draughty farm barn; I’m afraid this is not a glitzy American style ice cream parlour! We are very much a working farm as well as an ice cream making business, and are proud of our unique Cow to Cone set up – to stay true to this our parlour is one of the original 17th century farm buildings – indeed many people like the fact that the parlour is a simple set up. You are right that we ought to make this clearer, so we have added a line to our Buy from the Farm page on the website to make this extra clear. We aren’t able to say we are just a shop because many people love to sit a while in the sun outside or inside the barn and enjoy their purchases, but you are right, perhaps ‘parlour’ is misleading – we shall certainly look into this. We are sorry to hear about the issue of the lack of napkins and spoons, we will certainly look into staff training. Thank you again for getting in touch.

I first tasted this ice cream in Lulworth Cove branch ..so far ..it's the best ice cream I ever tasted . I hope they don't change their recipe ..and I hope they will sell this in tesco so I don't have to go to sea side . And I wish they'll sent me goodies so I could taste all the flavours and share it with my friends or store it my freezer so I don't have to go seaside or zoo on a cold weather . Xxx ice cream lover .

Thank you for getting in touch. Sorry to hear you were disappointed with our Tutti Fruitti and Coconut ice creams – these are two flavours where personal preference does come into it quite a bit; many people travel miles for our Tutti Fruitti, and some love the shredded coconut, others do not. We will certainly look at staff training so thank you for raising this - the chocolate disc does sit on top of all our 1 litre tubs so we will make sure staff know this in future. Though it does state chocolate on the ingredients list on the tub, I appreciate you wouldn’t necessarily have looked at the allergens/ingredients list when purchasing. I hope you did manage to find some flavours you did like!

Excellent Ice cream made to a very high standard. Amongst the best I've tasted. Obtained from the farm shop and served by an efficient, friendly and knowledable young man.I will be back!

We stumbled across this in our recent visit to Bath, and I'm so glad we did! The ice cream is beyond this world amazing (I had the one with ginger pieces in it)- and the price is so reasonable considering the quality! There were so many flavours to choose from, and I'm envious of people living around the area who get to try more flavours! if you pass by, don't miss the chance to indulge in this ice cream heaven!

After a beautiful visit to Dryham house and gardens for Sunday lunch we saw the signs for the ice cream parlour. Amazingly witty banter from the two young gentlemen serving and help with choosing the right icecream. Lots of info on how eco friendly the Farm has become. Also a video to hand to show how to make some fantastic cocktails. Well worth a visit. Brilliant finish to a sunny Sunday x x

I called in here with friends on our way back from Bath - we had seen the sign on the way into Bath on the Friday, but noted that the shop was only open at weekends. We promised ourselves we would call in on our way home. We did and we were not disappointed. The queue for ice cream was pretty long, but service was so swift that we didn't have to wait too long. The choice of ice cream is pretty bewildering an the service really is with a smile. What a great place! It was an unexpected find and a great place to stop. Lovely ice cream, really well priced and a beautiful setting. Just a shame we live too far away to buy some to take home.

Quite possibly one of the best ice creams I've ever had! All of their ice creams are made locally from local ingredients and come in a range of flavours. We were both impressed by the thought that had gone into allergies and intolerances too.The servers had evidently had their customer service training and were very helpful and pleasant.Definitely worth a stop off!

We popped in here on our way home from Gloucester today. We had previously visited some time back and it was just a small shop. The updates are impressive. Our little boy was delighted to stop off for ice cream and the bribe of ice cream stopped him falling asleep in the car. The parlour had a huge choice of flavours, cones, toppings, sundaes etc... The lovely lady serving opened a back door on the parlour and showed our little one a new calf and a glimpse of the cows being milked which he really enjoyed as we had explained to him how ice cream was made recently. We sat on a bench over-looking at a field of cows and the rolling countryside beyond. A welcome break.

You pay your money and make your choice. Stop and get a 99 from a van on the side of the road or visit Marshfield Farm Ice cream instead. A Burger or Fillet Steak would be a similar choice. Organic milk from a home built herd, turned into cream and flavoured into luscious ice cream on site. Served in a very old barn with the cows next door. Fantastic flavours in sundae, tubs or cone form. Traditional and many more inventive combinations, such as Banoffee or Blackcurrant and clotted cream Most will be available at a reasonable cost in the freezer to take home. I cannot wait for my home stock to expire so I can visit again !!!
