本来想参观基督教堂学院，结果时间太晚了，就在它旁边的公园散步。公园很大，有大片的草坪。实际上，如果要参观基督教堂学院，游客的入口也在这个公园里。学院的大门游客不能进入。

christ church meadow 在基督教堂学院的旁边，是一块郁郁葱葱的牧场，有美丽的长角牧群。对公众是开放的，学生，游人在这里野餐，沿河边散步，真是人文，环境的完美结合。

Framed by the beautiful college buildings and the river this is a beautiful and relaxing place to escape, yet is right in the heart of the city. Definitely feels like you are walking in the footsteps of generations of Oxford's academic past.

This walk across open fields along very muddy pathways is a good way to get around the city without having to walk through the shopping areas.

Being at the south side of town, this is a perfect place to watch sunset late afternoon. You can access the meadow from Magdalen college down Rose Lane. The buildings of Christ Church and nearby Merton college turn an even warmer colour than they already are.

I seem to be in a minority here. Whilst it is marvellous that such a large expanse of meadow with glorious views of the river and the impressive Christ Church College is free to walk in the centre of a large town, its popularity is the problem.On a chilly Sunday afternoon in January, the place was heaving with tourists or students taking the short-cut to their digs. I dread to think what it is like in the summer when the weather is nice ! Parts of the tow-path were flooded or very muddy, so it was a good job I had my wellies on.It would also have been nice if there were a few more benches around the paths to allow for some breaks and to take in the scenery. The few that were there were already taken.Once we had walked by the Rowing Club and ignored the cute footbridge, the walk along the Cherwell to the entrance by the Botanical Gardens was much more peacefulIn the winter, the entrance gates at St Aldate’s are closed at 4.30 pm, and there were several people still inside wondering how they were supposed to get out ! The gates by the Botanical Gardens are open until 5pm

I have visited this open area many times, most recently this week. It can flood at times, although it was fine for a visit this week. It is free, and open during most daylight hours. There is plenty to see all year round, and it is nice to escape from the busyness of the city streets.

Always a joy to take a walk through Christ Church Meadow, many happy Summers spent here during my youth. Take a walk if you have the time.

If the College is closed or you don't want to pay the admission price, this is a very pleasant way to at least see a great view of the buildings and architecture. We took a lovely stroll through here on a crisp sunny day. It really is wonderful to see such a large expanse of greenery in a city. Very popular with tourists and residents... also providing an alternative route to avoid the busy High Street. If walking late afternoon just be aware of the gate-shutting times or you may end up with a longer detour to your destination. Lovely.

While doing my A-levels we organised picnics in the Christ Church Meadow park several times. When it's sunny the meadow is one of the best places in Oxford to take a walk.Очень классное место особенно в солнечную погоду!
