open space for walking the dog, green fields all round the park. A big lake to walk round, loads of birds scattered all over the lake. load of surprises for the kids all around the park. Plus with cafe and toilets, an excellent place to visit.

Rushcliffe Park is perfect for young children and has a fantastic play area for both very youunf children and older kids. The musical forest part of the park is also great for kids and in general its an ideal place to let of some steam on a sunday afternoon.

This is a very spacious and well laid out park. Free parking and regular activities.Dogs not allowed off leads around childrens play areas which is how it should be, we dont all want dogs bounding over our kids!!There are outdoor adventures for many ages and a lovely lakeside walk.Only downside are the lack of a decent cafe and toilets could be better.

Good park, dog walking areas, steam trains, woodland trail, little drinks hut, visitor centre, lots of birds and ducks.....just watch out for the 'snobby parents' with little Tarquin and Jemima!

I have visited this park with my son many times over the years and we always find it enjoyable. The play park area has just been done up by the council and it looks as though they have spent quite a lot on it. It includes a sandpit, various climbing frames and slides and more. The park is full of hidden trails and secret garden areas and other little surprises and is larger than it looks at first. There is also a bike trail with jumps etc and a skate board park. More recently having taken up running I have been running on the paths around the park which seems a popular activity. Obviously the park is popular with dog-walkers too. And don't let me forget to mention the lake which is quite large and full of fish and lots of different birds swimming on it!The park is clean and has something for everyone. Parking can be tricky when its busy on a nice weekend. It is only a £1 donation to park though which is great value.Definitely worth a visit.

I absolutely love this place. This in my opinion should be the place that every country park is modelled on. It has so much on offer. The sensory musical garden is brilliant. The first time we visited was in the summer and we spent a good hour exploring this area. The play park is excellent. There's an under 5s area and a larger Park. As you walk around the lake you have a butterfly garden and wooden statues. A small picnic area is to the right of the park that has wooden statues and places to explore. There's lots of open grass for play. All this and more for FREE! Just a donation to the car park. The only downside is the size of the car park, I can imagine on a weekend it would be difficult to get parked (maybe)

The country park is extensive and has lots of different areas, child friendly dog on/off lead areas. Great all year round as it has paths. Cafe isn't open all the time though which is a shame. Told steam trains run on weekends which are good fun for the kids.

Visited here with my 15 month old and husband. There is a fabulous sensory area in the middle of the woodland which my daughter just loved. Such a thoughtful idea.Really beautiful place to come for a visit - only issue is the lack of sufficient parking (but importantly, what parking they do have is incredibly reasonable - think it was £1 for the whole time we were there, optional charge).

Rushcliffe park is a favourite with the family. It is well maintained and has something for everyone. The park is deceptively larger than it first appears. It has an excellent playground for the kids (and fitness park for the adults), space to play games, great place to see the historic railway engines. it has a skate and bicycle park & ramps. It is exposed, so bring a coat to keep warm

The space and train/railway museum were good. The council have spent a lot in designing the tree planting and it is very handy for accessing from south of the city of Nottingham

Spent a cold afternoon taking the dog for a walk and letting the kids play on the park - it was enjoyed by all! There are a number of on site coffee/food vans near the childrens play area which is great on a cold afternoon!
