Its a great experience to go over on the ferry from the pier head and travel over to seacome and Birkenhead you can stay on for the full trip or get off and get back on its about a one hour trip but its great. One good thing you will see is how close the seagulls fly close the boat and close enough to feed them or before they take the food out your hand. Great fun.

Really nice job of transforming the old docks area into a tourist destination! Quite a few museums there and lots of shopping and photo oppurtunities!

When this area was redesigned about five years ago, it had a beautiful open aspect and, in fairness it still is a beautiful place to be. There are the three graces, the Beatles museum and of course access to the Mersey Ferry which, you must go on if you haven't been yet. Unfortunately the authorities have started to put flagpoles, signpost, information boards, tea vans, bike racks and all manner of clutter to obscure the open aspect and amenity of the area. Sometimes, more is less. This is supposed to be a world Heritage site so how has this happened?Having said all that, these buildings are wonderful and, on a sunny day it's a really nice place to be.

Even when it's raining I love this place. It's had a revamp over the years and now you can until use the cafes and bars that have sprung up all over the place.Majestic buildings, the three graces, what more could you want from a trip to liverpool!

What I don't like is the glass office building,it doesn't fit in with the old buildings. You must visit the shipping office buildings,The White Star building and many more in the area.

What a luxury!! What a way to top off this great city, with a great waterfront. Collect the Mersey Ferries across the Mersey to the Wirral or just stay on for a round circular. See the 3 graces like they were meant to be seen. Out at Sea!

I live in Liverpool and haven't been down to the pier head for some years. Wow what a transformation!! It looks amazing and lovely to stroll down there on a sunny day.

I spent many a happy Sunday afternoon down here, I watched the ferries come and go, had the odd ice cream and fed a few pigeons. As a child, there are certain things that go unnoticed, the beautiful architecture was one of those things. The modern additions only add to this area, a great place to pass an hour. You can still buy an ice cream and feed the mickey's, but the ferries don't run as frequently as they used to, don't worry, you'll still see them!

Undoubtedly the best way to view this world class waterfront is from the legendary Mersey ferry, but even if you can't fit in a trip is it still lovely to have a stroll around this UNESCO World Heritage Site to admire the Three Graces. Standing proudly, the Royal Liver Building, Cunard Building and Port of Liverpool Building represent Liverpool's strong maritime history. They have recently been joined by the ultra modern Museum of Liverpool and an extension to the Liverpool-Leeds canal. Minutes away from the main business district, shopping area and Albert Dock, with plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants nearby, the Pier Head is a wonderful place for a stroll or to sit and watch the world go by.

The staff here are helpful and friendly. We went on the river explorer cruise and loved every minute of it - I fully understand why my brother who lived nearby takes the tour at least once a week for the wonderful views. It's top of the list for what to do on our next visit.

Having done the Beatles Story the day before, arriving back at Pier Head after a trip on the ferry we ventured into the cafe and Beatles display. Quite a surprise to find lots more information here especially about the British Invasion. The photo gallery by Paul Beriff was stunning, huge images displayed in your face, and all this cost nothing extra!

The Pier Head is the iconic image that can be best viewed on the Mersey Ferry! Second only imo to the New York skyline

Lots of interesting things to see. One of them being the museum of liverpool, free admission and lots of things to do. Be sure to pop into the pier masters house, a lovely way of seeing how people lived in the 19 40 ' s.
