The most sheety place I have ever been. Bad and impolite service, bad food and dirty place. We have waited two hours for few things and the soup was really sheety!

When traveling through Nijmegen this is one of the places you should visit. They have a large range of bottled beers and always a (changing) variations of draught beers.The atmosphere is wonderful and the waiters know their profession. Wether you're alone or with friends, this is a place where you should drink at least one beer (and possibly many more after that!). You will notice that no matter what time you will visit this place, it is always filled with people wich give it a wonderfull atmosphere!

When you are standing at the small front of this restaurant, you will be pleasantly surprised by the space after entering Samson Cafe. First there seats at the window, then the bar with many mouthwatering beers of draft, next seats in front of a huge mirror and finally seats in a room featuring a Dutch national soccer team shirt with lots of autographs, like Arjen Robben. To me the atmosphere in Samson Cafe evokes the Birtish pubs, very pleasant. The waitress was nice but very busy, fortunately I got my beer on draught (Gyle Bock) and tapas (shrimps, stuffes olives and chirizo with goat cheese) pretty quickly, delicious! Highly recommended, especially to beehunters, there was a huge list with great bockbeers on draught and bottle.

When one is a traveller it is important to find a watering-hole that is friendly, has a sense of atmosphere, and can make you feel at home. At the Cafe Samson in the centre of Nijmegen I can tick all thse boxes. Currently I am enjoying a German light brown ale. Right for summer days. As the Dutch weather gets more water-cold I shall seek a cosy place inside and seek out Belgium Trappist beer directly from the tap. Those old monks certainly knew who to show one a pleasurable way to heaven. I would call the Cafe Samson, a brown pub-an application for an Amsterdam smokers public house. It takes time to see the smiling bar girls when they suggest that the home-made apple pie is on the menu. A cosy atmosphere and on the walls pictures and old advertising tin plates. One for Black CAT cigarettes in the days of smokers, which I can tell with delight to my Dutch friends how when I was young I lived close to the factory in Camden Town, London with its ancient Egyptian facade and two black cats sitting at the entrance. It is always good to have a pint of beer for the telling of a tale. Once a year, complete with music Cafe Samson has beer festival plus deliciious snacks and -----oh, I have lost count of some one hundred different beers. Glad that today there is no tobacco smoke anymore. Otherwise I would not be able to complete this review because it is too cold outside. This excellent hostelry is close to the Plein 42. A square that once had a pleasant city garden now lost due to the erection of tasteless private developers expensive flats to block the light and lean over what is now bus halt. Meanwhile Cafe Samson keeps its sense of place.

Café Samson is het café voor speciaal biertjes te drinken in Nijmegen.De bediening heeft kennis over alle soorten bier en kunnen altijd een goed advies geven.De hapjes die je bij het eten kunt bestellen zijn niets speciaals en een beetje bourgondisch. Bij het kaasplankje krijg je grote blokken kaas, de nacho's is een grote schaal nacho chips met een beetje kaas eroverheen en saus ernaast. Een leuk café om zowel met je vrienden als met je partner heen te gaan!

Dit café is echt tof! Je kunt gratis pinda's halen en de doppen op de grond gooien, echt geweldig. Logisch dat het op plek 6 staat van het beste café van Nederland!

Welke dag van de week je ook komt, het is er altijd gezellig druk, en altijd vriendelijke personeel. Ze hebben verstand van de verschillende bieren en wijnen. En dat je de (gratis) pinda doppen op de grond mag gooien zie je natuurlijk nergens!

min of meer een allemansvriend ... hier komen alle leeftijden bijeen ... prima biertje en nog ouderwets door een ober naar je tafel gebracht ... bijna altijd druk, zaterdag eind van de middag als je moe bent van het shoppen of donderdagavond na de film, maakt niet uit ... ook mogelijkheid voor het organiseren van een receptie of afstudeerfeest

Al jarenlang een café met een bijzondere reputatie! Gezellig, gemoedelijk en klantvriendelijk. Waar iedereen van jong tot oud, student of werkende, stelletjes of vrijgezellen op een vriendelijke wijze met elkaar omgaan. Nooit is er iets van spanning of vervelends te bespeuren. Diverse soorten biertjes en andere dranken worden door gemotiveerd en klantvriendelijk personeel geserveerd! De prijs van versnaperingen zijn gemiddeld te noemen.Kortom een café dat past in de Nijmeegse binnenstad waar eenieder zich welkom voelt!

Jong en oud publiek. Nette bediening met kennis van zaken. Maar liefst 19 bieren op tap. Lekkere lunchkaart. Neem een portie zelf gemaakte gehaktballetjes. Heerlijk

een van de bekendste oude bruine kroegen in Nijmegen. Sinds die Clemens er is weg gegaan is de sfeer weer heel veel verbeterd. Laten we maar zeggen dat Samson 'het cafe de Hoppe is van Nijmegen'

Mooie bierkaart, lekkere snacks en echte obers. Gemengd publiek en gezellige inrichting. Wat wil een mens nog meer? Top tent!
