This is a food hall as you might find in Kuala Lumpur - lots of different stands selling all sorts of stuff, so you pick and pay then try and find somewhere to sit. OK for a quick bite but not for a relaxed evening. We tried the Japanese stand - never had miso soup served in an aluminium take-away box before. Cutlery was plastic. You have to buy your drinks on the hoof too. It may have been busy as we got there late in the evening and there was a match on the TV screens - so nowhere to sit/perch and rubbish everywhere. It is young and cheap and varied, something for everyone I guess but I prefer to pay bit more and get a bit more service . We were passing again today at lunchtime so tried again - quieter and a different clientele. Probably worth a shot if you are near, just for the experience.

We visited this place for breakfast there was one place open at the back. Had a walk around it's a cool place so we decided to come back later in the evening. It was a Wednesday night but the place was buzzing when we got there around 10pm. Lots of choices for food pick what you like. All reasonably priced. The outside bars looked good lit up. We heard it's open til around 4am at the weekend with DJ's and parties going on.Fully recommend you visit in the evenings to get the buzz and atmosphere. Loved it!

We are at the Mercado Victoria on a Sunday afternoon after a day of sightseeing. Being Sunday lots of local people were our and about, which may explain some of the noise level, but the music playing was also not relaxing. There are lots of food choices including a Japanese stall, so there's probably something for everyone. We had an excellent salad and a so so paella, but the prices were right. Forget about intimate dining, and come prepared to share a table with others if the Mercado is busy.

This place has everything you can have a full meal selected from inside the market or just a beer or coffee or ice cream. The bars are open to at least 1.30 playing cool sounds. This was the place in Cordoba that had most buzz for all ages

This place reminded me of Pike's Market in Seattle or that marketplace in Vancouver. Many stalls of various food, large variety, free samples, and VERY lively night scene with bars. It was definitely cool.

We checked out the markets everywhere we went in Spain; this one is relatively new and one of the best. Large prawns for €7 and a salad for €5, + a pequeña (small beer) for €1.20. You get to choose 6 items from an extensive list for the salad—actual greens! However, they forget the olives, and the avocados are underripe. Otherwise, it is easy to get a table, and it is a delicious lunch.

Good place to try Cordoba's traditional soup made of tomato, garlic, and bread puréed with a topping of ham and chopped hard boiled eggs- called salmorejo; and its traditional drink Vargas - similar to sangria. Lots of food options:ham, steaks, seafood, salad, empanadas, Japanese.

We sought out this market place after a busy morning visiting some patios during the Patio festival and then the amazing Mezquita. The Mercado Victoria market, wow what a gastronomic experience! All the stalls create and sell different types of food. We ate a wonderful creation inspired by the Patio festival served in a clay flower pot which you get to keep complete with black dirt on top (local cheese mixed with black vegetable ash) and micro salad leaves on top placed artistically in the 'dirt'. Such a creation! It was divine! It's a really nice place to gather, try a few dishes, have a few drinks. When we left around 7pm, it seemed the younger ones were really getting going in the few outside bars.

This is a fantastic place with 20+ food and drink outlets selling a variety of produce. We spent a couple of hours in here trying everything from one of the best paellas I've ever had to a really unusual (and tasty) hotdog. It's perfect if you want to get out of the heat in middle of the afternoon and don't want to be stuck in a single restaurant.

Sauntering through the La Victoria gardens on a sunny Sunday, we more or less by coincidence hit upon the Mercado at lunch time. Attracted by its architecture we went in and discovered a fantastic variety of little food & wine shops serving fresh and mouth-watering dainties. The only two problems: what to choose? and where to find a place to sit? Both were easily solved, The atmosphere here is lively, and this is a wonderful place to sample unknown dishes. What a feast!Post-prandial suggestion: search for the benches with Seneca's wisdoms inscribed on tiles to practice & extend your restaurant Spanish.

Victoria Market is located 25 minutes walking from the Mezquita (jewish neighborhood). Reserve 2 hours and an apetite to visit it. Is a small thematic market with different kiosks sellin sea food, olive tapas, japanese food, italian, argentinean, wines, beer, etc... Incrideble !!! You can sit in one of the external or internal tables and have different foods as you want. Was on of the best place we visited in Córdoba.

Really nice market with establishments to eat. Everything from tapas, wine, to fish, olives, sushi and more. A lot of variety in a really neat place. This is where to eat.

This 'market' is near the end of Paseo de la Victoria, and is made up lots of stall offering food and drinks (a bit like a smaller version of Mercado San Miguel in Madrid). There are some great food offerings for all times of the day and evening - from oysters, shellfish, iberica meats, and a host of different tapas. At the rear endue of the market is another hall where bread, ice cream, coffee and hot chocolate, amongst other things, are available. The spiced dark chocolate is to die for!Really friendly staff on all the stalls - very helpful in making sure you find just what you are looking for.The market is only five minutes from the historic quarter (Puerta de Sevilla). We found it a welcome place to rest and refresh in the November chill - we're sure it would be even more of a find during the hot summer months.

I stopped in at Mercado Victoria last week and had a right old gastronomic adventure, nibbling on manchego and cecina with a fine Ribera del Duero, various incarnations of salmorejos, to er, baked potatoes and frozen yoghurt (let that one pass), champagne and oysters, and even Argentinian-style empanadas filled with rabo di toro (oxtail) I could have had sushi or quite a few other dishes but I was, full! All in, I recommend visitors get to el Mercado Victoria for a taste of Cordoba embracing the modern world (you can't live on bacalau and rabo for ever!)
