I have been to El Rompido basically to play on 5 occasions. The golf is really good with 2 very different golf courses. Also, each course has two distinct front 9 and back 9. The courses hug the nature reserve and can be "tight" in some places but the flora and fauna is just beautiful. The golf spoils the walk in this lovely area. The little fishing town of El Rompido boasts enough quaint bars and eateries. The best time of my day is when the golf finishes and the short walk into El Rompido begins. A glass of white wine with a plate of boquerones overlooking the river is just bliss.

just returned from 5 nights at this resort. Played both the North and South Courses both in good condition with plenty of interest to keep you focused on your shots. Beware the Flies !!! Of which there thousands on the North Course and insecticide spray appears to be what they like the most the South Course fares better. Probably because there is more trees and less water and open spaces. The Hotel I'd VG rooms clean and well appointed with lovely comfy bed. Only downfall no tea making facilities in the room. Meals are varied, plentiful and hot. The staff are efficient and helpful. I had a Massage and it was well worth the €60 for the hour. Pool clean and tidy with a pool bar close by. Well worth what we paid and will go again

Played golf here with eight others in June. Booked to play South Course which according to other reviewers was the better course - stipulated that would cancel if South Course not available. Was assured that booking was secure so travelled from Portugal to this venue. On arrival was told that booking was changed to North Course as competition was taking place on South Course. On complaining was told no management was available to consult. Subsequently had to play North Course which can only be described as eighteen holes in a field. On completion, as we were in a buggy, took the opportunity to look around South Course. Saw a few more trees but another eighteen holes in a field. On return to our hotel complained to booking agent who sent e-mail to El Rompido demanding refund (fat chance). I also sent e-mail complaining about lack of notification about change. Neither of us was given the courtesy of an acknowledgment let alone a reply. Not one of my subsequent e-mails has been acknowledged. Be warned if you are considering a visit to El Rompido. There are better venues for serious golfers.

Two testing courses especially the back 9's on both. Greens in good nick. Narrow fairways at times.Keep the big stick in the bag is my advice. Hotel was good in all aspects. Food plentiful. Rooms clean and tidy very comfortable with views across the 4 th fairway on the North course. A really enjoyable stay. Staff helpful with both the hotel side of things and golf complex. Would definitely return. Our deal was semi inclusive which meant not paying for drinks after 5pm. There is a decent size swimming pool along with pool side bar. So enough to do after a morning's golf. Weather in the 30's so early finishes on the course followed by a swim was the order of the day. I would recommend it to golfers of all standards looking for a great golf holiday. Tip- fly to Faro, Portugal it's nearer for transfers.

There are two courses: South and North. The North course seems longer and has not yet matured fully.The South off the yellow tees (second furthest) has some short par dog leg par fours where one can cut the corners. The 100 and 150 metre markers seem to be wrongly measured and are off sync with distances indicated on the buggy maps and on my Garmin. Both courses seem well maintained. On playing the North course there was an over zealous official pushing us on hole two. This did spoil the first part of our round. I mean what did they expect? We were let out in fours on a course that we had no knowledge of and that had plenty of rough scrub next to the fairway. it took us 25 minutes to complete the first two holes and this was not slow. We were delayed 5 minutes by a queue in the golf shop and also took a wrong turn to the course where there was confused and inadequate signs. This official would be better placed about the fifth hole. Nevertheless we enjoyed the two courses. There is a range, practice greens and coaching facilities available.We found that there were plenty of buggies available.The golf shop has also got bar and food available.

The clubhouse had a large pro shop and cafe. Trolleys and buggies were available although I would advise to book buggies in advance. Can highly recommend the Rompido salad nom nom.The 2 courses were both immaculate! The greens were amazing. Absolutely loved it

The hotel is great very good rooms clean and large the food in the restaurant is very good. The biggest problem as this is a golf resort is the lack of golf buggy's , were in a group of 36 over 55s and there was only 3 buggy's available between us so that meant some of our party could not play but as we were told by the manager that does not matter as they have already got our money or words to that effect.

freundliches Personal, gute Küche und faire Preise.Das Clubhaus hat 2 Terrassen, eine davon windgeschützt in der Mitte des Clubhauses, eine dahinter.Die Plätze bestechen durch schwere, schnelle und ondulierte Grüns.

Dejlig oplevelse at spille både North og South banerne i El Rompido, Banerne var i meget fin stand, men facilitetterne ved f.eks toiletter var absolut ikke tilfredsstillende.Mange gæster men ingen problemer med afvikling af matcherne i løbet af ugen.Faciliteterne omkring clubhuset, restauranten bar også tydeligt præg af mange gæster, bl.a. toiletforhold manglede renholdelse i løbet af dagen, medens banerne var en nydelse ar spille.

Wij hebben in oktober 2014 deze 2 golfterreinen bespeeld. Zowel de 'sur' als de 'norte' zijn uitstekend onderhouden en zijn bespeelbaar voor elke golfspeler vanaf handicap 36.Beide zijn vrij vlak - norte is een tikje heuvelachtiger dan sur. Wij hadden buggy's besteld, doch zeker sur is perfect doenbaar zonder buggy-en eigenlijk norte ook-. Verzorgde driving range en zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel op de golfclub, ook eten en drinken op een gezellig terras met zicht op de baan, een lunchpakket om mee te nemen voor 6€ is zeer schappelijk, er is mogelijkheid om de golftas in een locker op de club te laten.

En cualquiera de los 2 recorridos que ofrece este campo de golf se puede disfrutar de unas vistas y entorno maravilloso. El campo está muy bien cuidado y los greenes perfectos.

difficulté pour avoir un équipement ( 2 sacs pour 4 personnes !!) que nous n'avions pas emporté, mais nous avons pu jouer ... sinon deux beaux golfs intéressants surtout en cette saison

Sea cual sea tu nivel de juego disfrutas del campo, con hoyos en general sin complicaciones, salvo alguno mas difícil, pero la paz, la luz que tiene hace que este campo sea algo mas que golf. Maravilloso
