Stayed in apartment close to the marina but found the bars there quite soulless and lacking in any personality. Have stayed in this area before and couldn't believe that I have missed this lovely square so close to where I was staying. Great choice of drinks, reasonable prices, great atmosphere, outside heaters and charming hosts. I will be returning to sample some of their cocktails and their hospitality.

Popped in whilst having a quick new years break in Benalmadena,as usual a lovely warm welcome and lots of cocktails to choose from.(Although we are waiting for the hotter months to visit again, sunshine and cocktails are far more my thing haha)The kids enjoyed their special mocktails too!! aswell as hooking up to the wifi so they didn't have to socialise with us adults as usual ☺A lovely relaxing atmosphere and friendly owners!! Now Benalmadena Costa is a town catering for everyone. It caters for the £1 a pint merchants and those living in £1m houses. As such it can be difficult to distinguish what is what amongst the bright lights. I've been going there for over 3 decades, and have a greater insight than most. The Plaza Ole opened in 1986, and is always worth investigating to see what's what. On my last New Year visit I discovered this great little bar run by two wonderful people.Now December offers hard times to bar owners. But it offers harder times to amateurs. Bar Ole is a professional shop. Being no stranger to the licence trade I can be overly critical of amateurs "living the dream" but complimentary of those running a great pub. Ole falls into the latter category. It has a cocktail menu to rival London's finest. But I'm a beer and malt drinker, and it could cater equally well for me. It's comfortable. It's clean. It's smart. And it has two wonderful owners who cannot do enough for its patrons. Words are easy. Just go. You'll love it.

Bar Ole is just next to the Triton Hotel where we were staying. This was our third holiday in Benalmadina and we always visit this Bar several times during our holiday. Bar Ole is run by Richard and Anett, who make you most welcome. This is a very attractive bar, clean and comfortable, inside and outside. It is mainly a cocktail bar but they serve very good quality wine and other drinks too. Great Bar to sit and chat to other people and great to talk to many nationalities. Richard and Anett take time to join you for a chat if not too busy in the bar. The toilets are always spotless and smell nice. The Bar is only open in the evenings from 6.30 till 1pm and is closed on Tuesday evening. Put this bar on your list of "MUST VISIT"Ray and Doreen from Glasgow, Scotland.

A cracking little bar in a lovely little plaza. Richard and Annette have got running a bar down to a fine art. An excellent range of drinks, including a vast cocktail menu and over 30 mojitos! If your looking for quality drinks in a relaxed atmosphere then this is the place. The Rioja is excellent and the Long Beach Iced Tea finishes the night of perfectly!!!

We always receive a warm welcome from Annette & Richard when we visit.Bar Ole is not just a Cocktail bar with an extensive menu, but also serve beer, Cider & numerous blends & brands of spirits. This year they have put premium spirits on the menu.We were here in Nov when it was a bit chilly but they have patio heaters & black/red (bar colours) blankets/fleeces to keep you warm.Located in Plaza Ole, accessible from the beach promenade or down the hill from Av Antonio Machado.Recommended

Been back again this week and as good as ever with new delights to tempt us.Sangrias with a difference and my wife's favourite having the Cava with strawberry's and strawberry syrup and as well as my usual Shiraz I did have a Tanqueray with Fever Tree tonic. Richard and Annet have made us welcome on each visit and thats why we return when we can

Ever been somewhere and been blown away by the sheer love, detail and dedication that the owner has? Thats what this place is like.Tucked away (not too far off the strip) in Benalmadena's charming Olè Square is Richard and Anette's pride and joy. With over 200 cocktails on the menu and over 36 different mojito's, they know their stuff and have a pride in it that I've never seen in my life. Yes you can get a decent cocktail in quite a few places but the detail in what type of garnish, what type of ice, what type of sugar, hell even what type of tonic water for a G&T shines through and is evident.DO NOT LEAVE BENALMADANA WITHOUT TRYING!!Thanks guys, you made our week special.

Having searched bars in local area we come across bar ole. Having walked along the promenade turning right up some stairs towards plaza ole we entered a lovely secluded square surrounded with small bars.If you struggle to find it like we did just look out for hotel triton and you won't be too far away.Warm welcome made by bar owners who made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. Although the bar was full to capacity they still managed to spend a few minutes with us asking us about our holiday where we are from and just general chit chat. Very nice touch which you don't get from other bars.The menu was extensive to say the least but very reasonable priced. Over 36 different mojitos to choose from plus many many more. The lager is exceptional too. We were that impressed we visited twice in our 4 night weekend break and stayed here both evenings. We were all inclusive at a hotel in torramolinos which meant we had to get a taxi to and from the bar but it was well worth it!!!Can't recommend enough for a lovely evening out with family or friends.

A fabulous cocktail bar that breaks the norm. A great service with a vast array of many a hundred different spirits. A pleasure to find such a place and I would definitely recommend.

A fab bar located in lovely square that serves the most amazing cocktails with friendly service. The choice of cocktails seems endless, and if you are spoilt for choice ,as I was, Richard and Anett will always recommend one. The cranberry mojito was wonderful - all are freshly made , no cheap spirits or cocktail concentrates here.This bar is a must to visit while in Benalmadena

This is a great bar in a lovely square. Had a great atmosphere and the owners were very friendly. The cocktails were amazing, and with 36 different mojitos alone to go at, this is the bar to go to. Would well recommend a visit.

We found Bar Ole through TripAdvisor and were not disappointed. Richard & Anett made us very welcome and we were amazed at the variety of cocktails/ drinks on offer. Every drink was made with great attention to detail and the quality of ingredients was obvious. We particularly enjoyed the mojitos and cava cocktails and even took their advice on local restaurants. We only spent a week in Benalamdena but would recommend this bar wholeheartedly, we will miss you!!!
