We headed south-east from Marsalforn past Ramla Bay, another beautiful spot, across the top of Nadur and onto the road to San Blas bay. At the end of that road there's some on street parking, on foot follow the concrete road that slopes sharply down to the bay. Locals use this access road to drive down to their small holding, but I wouldn't risk driving down with a hire car. The scenery as you walk down to the bay is framed on the right by the valley wall rising high above you, the sea, blue sky and rich green vegitation of the small holdings to the left. It's a trek to the beach, very steep on your ankles so be careful, ware sensible shoes or walking boots. When we got to the beach nothing was open, well it was low season so I wasn't surprised nor disappointed. The beach in this bay is a beautiful little gem, the grassy slopes and rugged rock cliffs are a dramatic backdrop to its sandy beach. There weren't many people there so it was very peaceful. The sort of a place to stay still for a while just watching the sea, enjoy the scenery and sunshine. But don't forget you have to walk all the way back up, we took a few breaks. Haha! It was worth it.

Secluded, well preserved, natural beauty. Quiet beach, perfect to camp in or just for an hour swim. There is the BBQ guy down there as well who sells fast food and organises BBQs.Mind the steep hill...can only be done by foot or with a 4x4. Worth it!

It is a highly praised beach but I must say I was a bit disappointed because after the dangerous descent we found out there was nowhere to lie, the water was shallow and full of some seaweeds, nowhere to change clothes or have a shower to get rid of the sand. On the other hand the place offers breathtaking views and a little snack bar with a friendly owner. If you do not want to climb the steep slope on the way back, local guys offer to give you a ride uphill in their Suzuki (or Maruti) Samurai. I do not feel like going there again.

We went back to this beautiful secluded bay having visited last year. I was over the moon to see the little kiosk still open. I had a delicious hot dog and few cold beers whilst enjoying the stunning view. Steve the owner invited us to a BBQ that he was hosting that evening. We are so glad we went... The portions and selection of food was huge...there was also leftovers which he offered round to the tables. It was one of our favourite nights on the island. Can't wait to return.

San Blas is, in my opinion, the best beach on Gozo. Beautiful sand and very quiet. It is a bit of a pain to get to and involves struggling with a very steep hill but worth it. It is a small place but I have never yet seen it overcrowded in eleven years of going there.

Worth visiting this beach. Its very small but enough. Not to many people go there. Also the mini Kiosk that there is, the food is delicious, we took the home made (proper HM) burger and chips. Utterly delicious. Worth to visit. Make sure you are fit though, the steepy hill is not that pleasant after a day at the beach, but its worth it! :)

The hill leading down is very steep and quite long, we walked down, when you got to the beach It is 5€ for umbrella/loungers each, there is a bar serving food and drink we had a hot dog, it was ok, one portaloo, the beach itself is nice, we snorkelled but there isn't too much to see, it is shallow so would be good for families, we took the 4x4 "Up the Hill" for 5€ for the two of us, which was fine as we would of struggled going up- not being the most active of people

Outside peak season this is a lovely little beach. Even in the summer it's a better place to spend some time rather than Ramla.

Clear, clean blue waters and beautiful sand make this a great spot to visit. It is a real effort to get there with one of the steepest hills i have ever had to walk down and then climb back up....but its worth the effort. Once there we spent a whole day there, afterwards we were that relaxed we were almost horizontal...

A wonderfull small bay of Orange sand and chrystal turquoise sea. The fines on Gozo without a doubt, but getting there down the exceptionally steep path can be a chore; when going up, make sure you have plenty to drink as stops could be many! If it has been stormy out at sea, it's not unknown for huge volumes of kelp like seaweed to be washed into shore. It's well worth the trek if you can make it.

Accessed from Nadur, you can drive about half way down the hill. San Blas is finally reached on foot by a steep laneway. The sand is a golden tan, enclosed by rocks and clear water down a shelving beach. The beach is very well serviced - toilets, a snack bar serving food / drinks, sun loungers for hire, and a big bonus is a 4x4 jeep to carry you back up the hill for the small cost of €2 per head.

A faire absolument !!!!
