The tour was $5 a person which is fine except that we could not find the price posted anywhere before we went. The tour was great and the tour guide had actually grown up in the are and knew everything about the house. Who knew Cartersville had such a rich and interesting history! They apparently also do weddings and we saw their prices which are SUPER reasonable...tried to convince my hubby to get married again right there!

So often it is not so much the house or building but the tour guide that makes for a good experience. In this case, our tour guide – who gives the majority of the tours – was among the best we’ve ever had. Our 45 minute tour ended up going for two fascinating hours. Her depth of knowledge about the family who lived here was tremendous, and the house itself was quite interesting. We can’t say how many times we asked a question about a particular piece of furniture or a picture or a diary open to a page and she knew the complete history behind it.

This is a beautiful historic home in Cartersville and perfect for any special occasion. Great memories for us - we got married here August 27, 1977. The most beautiful setting is at sunset late summer.

This was a great afternoon spent at the Roselawn House Museum. We had a one-on-one tour with the guide, who took us all through the house. Give the tour guide time to answer the door, it's a big house and the office is in the back. The house is very beautiful, and well worth the meager $5 admission fee. I visit Savannah regularly, and I would put Roselawn up against any of the homes there. Its definitely worth the trip to Cartersville.

Roselawn is the site for a wonerful craft fair around Labor Day. Very much worth checking on the date and stopping by. Besides the crafts, there are great food vendorrs and the library sells used books.Rose Lawn itself is a very interesting stop. The guides provide a lot of information and the period rooms are beautiful. After visiting I was ready to stop at the library to check out books on the local history.

Roselawn is a Grand Old Southern Mansion, with lots and lots of local history. If you are interested in this, then you wont want to miss Roselawn!
