I drove by their old location yesterday and went on to their website to check on the status of the new location and was surprised to find that they still have "Breaking News: Deer Park Being Forced to Relocate" at the top of their home page, immediately followed by a video taken at their OLD location, and requests to donate to their purported 'animal rescue' mission. According to what's on their website and faceook site, they moved to their NEW location over a year ago, but the following Nov 21 '13 post on their facebook site states "We have to finalize some logistic with the USDA before we can operate" so this all seems quite misleading to those who are being encouraged NOW to donate funds by the headline they are currently posting on their website. I would encourage anyone considering doing so to first make a site visit to their new location to assure they are even operating, so you'll have some idea of where the funds are going.

After the death of a longtime supporter who allowed the deer park to use their land, the park was forced to relocate to Long Road in Ball Ground, Georgia. They will open for Spring tours May 3rd, 2014.

Each time we go to see the falls we try to schedule a trip to the deer park as well.It has always left us with a feeling of wonder and amazement. You can hang by the fence for a while and see some of the domesticated animals and even feed a few deer from behind it.Then they load you up on more of a hay ride type vehicle and take you into a wide open space where deer of all types and sizes come out from behind the trees and surround you and the vehicle. It is all open air, you can feed them from your hands. They are so beautiful, it is quite a rare experience to see so many at the same time, some with such large racks. The kids are speechless at first and then ask the team a million questions. It is priceless.

I know the park is relocating, however it was over $30 for 3 adults to feed the deer through the fence and narrowly avoid being attacked for free roaming llama and emus. Overall just a very odd experience, the website advertised feeding the deer in an open area, however due to mating season it was strictly through a fence and only to the aggressive deer... (I wish they would have told us this at the gate). No bathroom, no place to wash your hands. Don't take small children, I'm a 20-something and this was terrifying to me.

My husband and I went to Deer park this weekend in fall. We could not go into see the deer because they are in mating season. We could only feed the deer from the fence and only a couple deer would come to the fence because the alpha would back up the rest behind him! We were a little disappointed, but then discovered that they rehabilitate the animals and open up their facility to special needs kids as therapy! This made the experience so much better because we knew we were supporting a good cause and for that reason we would return again!!! The staff was WONDERFUL! We paid $3 for a bag of corn... It was enough for us, although they eat A LOT of corn, and hold on tight to your bag because the llamas will tear your bag open if you aren't paying attention! We had a lot of good laughs with the llamas. They were very comical and fun!

My Granddaughter loved it so I loved it too! :)She especially loved Santa and Mrs. Clause interaction, but most of all the "Reindeer!"

We took our 4-year old grandson there and had a great time! Not only seeing the animals, but the trick-playing Santa was fabulous ... talk about unique and an unexpected surprise. We'll be back, for sure ... keep up the good work!
