It's a great place to sit and have lunch. The lake is tranquil. I wish we could swim in the lake. Being from Minnesota all the lakes you can swim in even man made lakes. It would be nice being a triathlete being able to swim. We love riding our road bikes around this area. It's also a nice place to run around the paths. The only lake used for swimming in Fayette county is now dried up.

There are pavilions, a play ground, clean bathrooms and a beautiful lake. You can boat and fish or walk or ride bikes on the paths. The paths have a good amount of shade and much of it is where you can see the lake while you exercise. There is also an area on the path where there is a "Life trail" where one can do some strengthening exercises. We go there often.

We have gone to lake Horton several times to relax and walk. It is very beautiful and serene. There have really nice paved trails for walking, running and biking. There are picnic areas with clean restrooms near by. This would be a nice spot to boat and fish.

If you have no boat and don't pack up your stuff to picnics or games there is really nothing to do. They should really develop the place a little more.

This is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the walking trails, fishing, boating and parks. Ideal for families and individuals it is safe as it is located in the south end of the county where crime is still at a minimum.

Wow what a great place to visit. This is the Southside's little secret. The lake is so serene and clean and has alot of options for outdoor fun. Love the walking paths. You feel like you are away some where. Great place to have a family picnic.

Lake Horton is at the end of Antioch road. From the new church it's a great bike ride up and back. The trails around the lake are also paved and very fun to ride with their twists and turns, just watch out for dog walkers!
