This park has almost everything for almost all age groups as well for dogs. This park is a sure visited place for our family on weekends and daily during summers. Nice place to have a morning/ evening walk. Cool play areas for the kids. This place is loved by my entire family. Keep the good work doing...

It is safe for every one and always busy. The walking trails are wide and long so that everyone can enjoy! I just wish they had more trees and shade on the trails.

As a one of the founders of the Johns Creek Veterans Association, I had the privilege to raise the U.S. Army flag at the opening ceremony for the Veterans Memorial Walk. Our four acre site is set in a secluded area of Newtown Park were the impact of our 10 monuments to the Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard of our Armed services can be honored for their service to our country at every major campaign since WWI. We also have monuments to Women in Service, POW/MIA, and Purple Heart Awardees. For veterans of these campaigns, it will be a very emotional and personal experience, as eluded to by the dedication monument which reads - I make a promise to the men who are serving beside me. I will never forget you. I will never forgive what you gave. I have no way to honor these men, save this. I will tell their stories to my children and my grand children. I will tell of their heroic deeds and because I do, a part of them will live forever. What other gift can I give?

Newtown Park has steadily improved each year that I have lived in the City (four years). I live about two miles away, and I find it to have a little bit of everything. In addition to soccer, lacrosse, and baseball fields, they have three full court basketball courts, 6-9 tennis courts, two recently refurbished children's playgrounds, a world class dog park funded by Beniful Dog Food as a result of a Johns Creek resident winning a design contest (it literally has artificial turf on the small and large dog areas in addition to a natural wooded area), running/walking paths, a small lake with picnic areas and a senior area. In 2014, they added a fantastic small amphitheater and an extremely impressive veteran's memorial walk with stations for each of the major wars the U.S. has been involved in since 1900.They have a plethora of activities throughout the year. The City is very fortunate to have such a nice facility for such a relatively small population.

This is our neighborhood park. Johns Creek has made a terrific park even better. They have added the dog park (one side for smaller dogs & another for medium-sized larger dogs), an amphitheater, community garden, senior center & a beautiful mural in the tunnel since we moved here 10 years ago. They rehabbed the little house at the corner of Old Alabama & Haynes Bridge, which can be rented along with the pavilions. Finally, the soon-to-be opened veterans park brings tears to my eyes. My only complaint would be that JC spend more time making people aware of this lovely place.

Best dog park around, well maintained with a variety of areas to keep your dog entertained. Has water feature is on concrete to keep the dogs from getting muddy.

Very attractive, safe and well maintained local park with paved walking paths and nice facilities. Very well done doggie park is a plus.

A great park that we are fortunate to live very close to. Always clean and exceptionally well maintained- it is a great place to walk your dog or just walk for exercise. The only problem is that it is land-locked and becoming increasingly popular- so crowding may be an issue at times- particularly on weekends.

First of all, there is ample parking in 2 - 3 lots near the entrance at Old Alabama Road. My favorite part of this park is the "Newtown Dream Dog Park." I don't have a dog but I can get my "mutt fix" while watching folks with their dogs. They even have a separate part for small dogs. They have water for the dogs to drink and an ample play and run area. We love to watch the dogs frolic and make friends. On really warm days, they have a kiddie pool for the pups, fountains and plenty of water. Everyone cleans up after their dog, as well. Newtown boasts a baseball mounds, soccer field and playground and open space for frisbee or other activity with family and friends. There is a covered picnic area and sidewalks to walk around the park and lake area. They recently added a small outdoor stage for concerts. My only negative for Newtown Park is the blatantly fake looking man made lake.

This is a big park with two separate play areas for the kids, and with an awesome pond where you can feed the fish and turtles. We enjoy this park a lot!

One of the best dog parks I have ever seen. Why only 4 stars? The grass in the front of the park is odd (I think it's astroturf). It seemed completely saturated with urine which put me a bit off at first but once you get to the splash area and the back of the park, it wasn't as much of a problem. There is also a separate area for smaller dogs but the main big dog area is definitely where it's at.

Very nice neighborhood park with dog park, trails, green areas. There's plenty of parking and occasional special events.

I'm so glad we have this park nearby. It's fun and dogs get exercise if you don't feel like walking them. All dogs need to be socialized early. My dog plays referee and if dogs get too "amped" he will break it up. Park could be cleaner, you have to watch your step because some owners will be socializing themselves and not see their dogs' mess. But still great dog park, every city should have one.

I go to Newtown very often and it is always a great place to go with numerous things to do, but not as large as some other parks. Newtown is a small park nestled within the suburbs of Johns creek, with one of the best dog parks in the area, and a small bike trail running around the border. Great for kids and sports. I would highly recommend this park.

This park, the show piece of the City of Johns Creek park department is constantly improving and offering more and new features. An entertainment pavilion is under construction; the Johns Creek Veterans Memorial Walk (a non-tax dollar funded feature) is becoming a reality thanks to the Johns Creek Veterans Association which is based at the Park Place Active Adult Center; new modern playground equipment has been installed; the now famous Dream Dog Park is very busy and the various sports venues are in constant use. A great place to visit in the City of Johns Creek!
