I have been on the lower Ocoee four times and today's trip was the best. Our guide Ed put us in the fight spots all day long. Everyone in the boat had a great time.

My family kayaked here over the summer on vacation, and the customer service is unbeatable. Top notch service. Will definately return if we are ever back in the area. Everyone was so friendly, and the lady in the store actually suggested we come back the next day, since the weather was kind of unpredictable the day we stopped to check into it. Other places would've just taken our money, and sent us down the river. But these people really seem to enjoy their job, and care about giving their customer the best experience possible.

This is not the first time we have floated down the river with TRA. It's inexpensive and fun. Clean tubes, clean facilities. NICE people. The water is cold. No matter what time of year. We tube every time we go. Maybe one day we will do the fun-yaks for the 8 mile trip. The tubing is an hour for the short run, 2 for the longer one. Just remember if the water is running fast it will be shorter. Get the lady of the establishment talking and be totally entertained. TIP: Don't take your keys with you, give them to the nice lady so you don't lose them in the water.

We were greeted by Max the dog and he even took a ride on the bus with us! Every one loads up on the bus and one of the staff drives to the drop off point of the river. He was very Informative. He told us which side to stay on when we seen the different color markers. When u see the white ball marker u stay to the right and if u are going to the Tennessee pick up point and u see the yellow ball marker u stay on the left. Look for the American Flag with the fish on it. Pretty cool u can say u kayaked from Georgia to Tennessee! The views are definitely better in Georgia than Tennessee. We chose to kayak because we like to have drinks/snacks and it was a great choice. U can determine how fast or slow u would like to go down the river as opposed to tubing unless u request a paddle. U can even stop back at the adventure building and use their facilities if need be and then u can be back on your way. We seen some car parts on the side of the river from cars that have fallen off from above (tragic but cool at same time). The water temperature was between 50-60 degrees. Hope this helps!

This was our 3rd time on the Toccoa but first time with TRA.Great float! We did the double tube which took about an hour or so and our teenage kids did the 3 mile trip which took a little more than 2 hours. The scenery is beautiful and the water is peaceful and relaxing. The river was not crowded. You will come across some flowing areas and then some where you can just relax and enjoy the ride. They even give you paddles to help when necessary. There are restrooms and changing rooms on site.We enjoyed lunch at Pearly Gates - staff was friendly, food was good and prices reasonable. Cash or Check only though - no credit cards. ATM on site. Will definitely be back again -- thinking about Kayaking next time!

We decided to use them for a short tubing trip. We had to wait in line to get a ticket, but it was a holiday weekend. We took a 1 1/2 hour tubing trip. Had to wait again for a shuttle bus to pick us up to take us up river. Would have been ok, except the bus loading before us had problems with getting kayaks loaded and took a long time. We were there about an hour before getting loaded to go. The tubes were good and had a good time on the river once we got started. My companion is not a water person and didn't really enjoy the easy going flow of the river. I noticed while we were waiting that they disinfected the tubes when they came back in, so thought that was good. It was all ok.

Toccoa River Adventures did a great job handling our large family group. We found the river to be VERy slow. Those of us that had chosen kayaks had a great ride. Those in tubes had a very, very slow time of it. It was even a bit slow for the five year-old in the group. Definitely a relaxing ride, but perhaps a bit too relaxing without a paddle to give you a bit of momentum.

Our family had a great time tubing! My twin 6 year old boys loved the time on the river. The entire staff at TRA is so friendly and very helpful. They are cheaper than most of the other companies around- it's working for them though. Clean nice changing and bathroom facilities also. I would tell everyone to go here!

Our group of 4 took canoes on the 6.4 mile run. We were told the water would be pretty smooth because the dam would be closed on the day of our trip. We hit several areas of rapids we were not adequately warned about and one of the canoes was turned over twice. I am grateful that there were no children with us as we may not have been able to save them and ourselves. There are no signs to mark distances and a few designating stay left or right would have been greatly appreciated. On the positve the boats were clean the facilities were clean and the staff was friendly. They just dont provide enough info to make an informed decision. A shorter trip may have been better.

We decided to take a couple of dbl seated top rider kayaks on the 6 1/2 mile river trip. the water wasnt too too high, but we had an absolute blast. Their van took us up the mountain to the drop off point, and told us to just take our time and enjoy the ride. well we DID exactly that. Thanks Toccoa River Adventures. you were one of the best parts of our week end trip.. We will definitely be back again.

Took raft trip and it was a joy. Guides were very amenable and quite informative. Enjoyed this immensely.

We had a great experience our river guide was Cat and she did an incredible job. The weekend we went the water was really high and running really fast. I felt as if our guide was in constant control. We did both rides the upper and middle. There were 4 adults in our raft and we had another raft with 3. Both of our guides exhibited large levels of experience and knew the river well. One scary point was at Grumpys where there was a raft stuck in the rapids. We passed that area with o problems even though others had trouble in that spot.

First off the owners treated me and my family as if they had known us for years. The kids wanted to do a tubing trip and instead of trying to get the most money out of us, they offered us a great suggestion and the prices were cheaper than I expected. After talking to the owners more after our return from tubing (they stayed after closing to make sure we were ok) we decided to book a white water rafting trip. This was mine and my wifes first experience with this and it was a blast. Thanks "Gatorman" and the rest of the staff for making this trip one of the best times I've ever had. We WILL be a repeat customer in the future.

People are friendly and the operation is well run. You can try kayaking, stand up paddle boarding or just hang out on a tube. Their equipment is good quality and they stretch of the river they put you on is fun and safe (as a river can be) for all ages.

Our group of 7 was well equipped with 5 funyaks and 2 paddle boards. If you want to try out a paddle board, this is a great opportunity. The current was nice and easy and you get to try your legs at it, way more enjoyable than I expected. We got out at the Rusty Roof Restaurant at the confluence of Fightington Creek. Perfect way to end a float is with cold draught beer and a dozen wings. They even have some horse shoes if you want to play.Staff was friendly and accommodating. Would recommend it for a group of folks that like to hang out doing something COOL.
