My wife and I visited here on 1/31/2015. This is the oldest Confederate cemetery in Georgia, and is tied for the oldest in the whole South. The story of how it began is very interesting. This place is off the highway on a small paved road that dead ends near some railroad tracks, and is pretty secluded, with a few houses nearby. If you are ever near Resaca, you should stop by for a visit. Check out the pics on the website.

over 200, known and unknown soldiers of the lost cause were reentered in this very proud magnificent creekside spot. stone arch work adorns the gate, and a low slung rock wall surrounds the cemetery. located one quarter mile from hwy 41. there is a large upraised map roadside st the turn to the cemetery. wonderful place to contemplate and reflect upon the late unpleasantness.

Alittle piece of histoy tucked away in the country. Daughters of the Confedercy do a nice job of keeping he area clean and tended. We enjoy stopping by several times a year to read the historical markers and grave stones (that are identifid). The birds and squirrels and to te peacefulness.
