Who knew this was available in Thomasville, Ga! What a great find!!!I received this as a gift and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Debra was our guide (and the owner of the company) and was terrific! It is so much more than just a food tour... It's a lesson in history. The variety of food is wonderful and there is plenty of it! 3 hours later we were stuffed. This is a great tour!!

Our tour guide was so personable. Our group went in December and each place we visited everyone was so nice to us. The history you learn about Thomasville is very interesting. Take this tour.

Having been on several similar tours in other cities, I feel qualified to say that Debra's is the BESTEVER!!! She is well-steeped in the history of Thomasville and tells it in such an interesting andengaging way! I was exhausted when I got home, but couldn't sleep because all of the things Debra told me were running through my head. AND the restaurants were so charming and welcoming!!!! Jonah's served grits and shrimp that could never be equalled. We ended at TheBook Shelf, such a charming book store, and sampled some phenomenal candy and cookies madeby a local wonder. Forgive me for forgetting the full name of the most unusual and delicious pizzayou will ever taste. (Moon something is the name.) To describe it would defy description. Theonly weak link was Louie and George's, I think. Just like fast-food. With so many outstandingrestaurants in town, this one could be replaced. But Debra would never be replaced. She IS thetour. Her wit and wisdom MAKE the tour.

I went with a group of ladies celebrating a birthday. The food was great! Every restaurant was welcoming and prepared for us. As a history buff who had lived in Thomasville for five years, I knew a little bit about the history of the area, but learned so much more. Debra told interesting stories that just blended in with our stops. I will be back with guests in the future.

This is an amazing way to experience a town. Debra, our tour guide was gracious, fun and full of historical facts. The history of Thomasville is amazing and has something for all people, wether you are a Civil War Buff or a nature lover and everything in between. I especially loved the towns added touch of 12 bronze quail hidden around town which we were encouraged to locate as we walked. Each eating place chosen was of top quality, not only did we sample the tastiest food in the town we had the added bonus of the restaurants personnel sharing the history of the dish we were eating. This is a great way to get to know a town and I plan on doing a Food Tour in other cities I visit. This should be top of your list of things to do. And yes, we ate so much we were all stuffed at the end of the tour.

We were able to get a great price on this tour through Groupon. This is a walking tour of Thomasville with stops at some of their better restaurants. Our tour was from 11:00am to about 2:00pm and we sampled food/drink from 6 different places. It was plenty to eat. Our guide gave us a great history lesson about Thomasville and we stopped at many of the great landmarks in the city. Cute and funny stories are told along the way, making the tour very unique and fun. I live in Tallahassee and was thrilled to know more about a town I have visited many times in the past. This would make a nice "girls day trip".

We've read through all of the other reviews and don't really know what we could add. We agree with all of them! Even though we have lived near Thomasville almost our entire lives, we learned things about Thomasville's history that we never knew. Because of the Taste of Thomasville Food Tour we have decided that food tours like this one are one of the best ways to experience a town. We took a tour in Nassau (Recommended by Debra, ask her for info) and we are planning to take one in Savannah next month. Just an all around great experience! You feel like you actually visit the town as a guest rather than running from attraction to attraction as a tourist.

After this tour we are definitely going back to Thomasville. Such a wonderful downtown area! We visited lots of places, got lots of history, and are hungry to go back and try more. Our guide was so enthusiastic she made you excited to learn about the town--which has a lot more history to it than we would have guessed! Every stop had wonderful food or beverage choices, but we were not overstuffed. We want to go back to every place we stopped at, and try several others we passed. The town could not ask for better advertising than this tour.

If you are visiting Thomasville, Ga, make sure to take the Taste of Thomasville tour. We got to experience the food, drink, and history of a great little southern town. This is a NO MISS attraction. My only advice is to do the tour early in your visit as we only wish we would have had time in our trip to return to some of the places we tasted.

We started out at 11:00 and had the most wonderful walking historic tour of downtown Thomasville, Ga. Debbie, our guide had searched out little stories about the buildings and the early families that built downtown after the civil war. While she did this we visited several wonderful restaurants with tastings of their specialties. The food is included in the price of the tour. We visited the shop of a local cheese maker who had won a best of award for the entire US. We had locally roasted coffee. We visited a 333 year old live oak tree. It was a lovely day and Debbie even had a birthday sash for my mom to wear. Everywhere we went she got birthday greetings. I would recommend this to groups of friends or visiting family. Just superb! My Mom and visiting Aunt all got home tired by very happy!
