You can do a little shopping then get your exercise. It rained prior to our visit to the park and the trail next to the river was very wet and full of large puddles and muddy so we ended up taking the 3 mountain bike loops, green, blue, and red. They go under the interstate and up and down a nearby hill. A little boring but just fine for conversing.

the remaining dam that had deteriorated created a cool water feature. Great place to picnic and walk. It was beautiful.

Not for strollers ! Great walking, trail running and biking but if u bring the baby u need a hike pack for baby to ride in. The paved area is very limited so you can't go far with a stroller. Great park though. Can't wait until they add more pavement!

Great trails on a peaceful piece of property. Nice place to walk and/or hike, with both paved and unpaved trails to explore. Nice safe parking areas and good trail maps posted.

Great mountain bike trails. Avalanche loop consists of there two mile loops that flow together for one six mile trail. Explorer is a 2.5 mile loop that has a 1 mile additional option off the back. Trails alternate direction every day and hikers go the opposite direction of bikers.

This park is really a nice piece of nature. It has big swing benches, a few picnic tables, a pavilion for rental (I think), a paved path for walking and then another trail that's still untouched and very nice to explore nature and it has a piece of history too. It's a sight of an old mill. The only thing this park is missing is a playground and the paved walking path is not very long.

Hey, Nice cute little park with off road bike trails, hiking trails, and paved side walk/bike way along river. Neat Deck for fishing. Fun bridge to walk across.. Some old mill structures still can be seen along path. May be a litlle harder to get too, now that the new outlet mall has opened.. Worth trying to see if you like.. Better than watching TV all day.. Enjoy.. Please remember to pick up your trash.. Thanks..

It's right off I-575 for easy access. The entrance road is across from the new outlet mall. The Little River makes for a calm and restful experience. We saw bikers on both the multi-use trail and the mountain biking trail. There were people swimming, fishing, kayaking and oh yeah, riding their unicycle. My only complaint is the lack of restroom facilities. One porta-john in a hot parking lot is woefully inadequate and an unpleasant surprise.

Great spot for outdoor family fun. You can walk the trail to the train trestle. Take a dip in the "swimming hole" there is a deck area for fishing. Take your Mt. bike for a ride. Picnic with the kids. Kayak to lake Altoona. We love this place!

Rope mill is a great little gem. We often go there to put in kayaks. You can row down the river and enter lake allatoona. If you stay to the right bank you can go up another creek to a nice waterfall. There also a nice walking and mountain biking trails. Its worth the trip.

You can walk, you can bike, you can run, you can fish... it is a pretty cool place to relax or let your inner athlete run wild. The trails are very steep and there are plenty of rocks, but they are long enough to give you a great workout. Just remember to follow the signs!

Nice trail system on the Little River that flows into Lake Allatoona. Walking trails are along the river and two mountain bike trails, one on each side of the overpass, are exceptional. The Explorer trails are comprised of three interconnected loops, all Beginner or Intermediate (recently upgraded from Beginner+). Frankly, the second Explorer loop is the most difficult of the three loops. It's definitely worth pushing through the second loop to get to the third loop, which is a lot of fun. The Avalanche loops are all considered intermediate, but to this relative newcomer to the sport, they seem quite advanced. I've only navigate the first of the three loops so far, and it was pretty technical (short word for lots of roots, rocks, and trees).Visitors can also walk the Mountain Bike trails but they are very narrow trails and bikes have the right-of-way, so it can be a bit precarious at times. Walk these trails at your own risk and make sure to go in the opposite direction of the bikers so you can see them coming.

I went to this park looking for some peaceful hiking on a rainy day and I found it at Olde Rope Mill Park. There are several names associated with this park due to it's variety of uses. Trestle Rock is the name of the Hiking Trail, Little River is the name of the water and bridge and Olde Mille Park is the name of the picnicing and don't forget the name of the biking trail is Avalanche so go figure anyone could find this place. So pack up a lunch, load up your mountain bikes, bring a fishing pole and put on the hiking boots cause there is a lot to see and do here. I photographed on this wet and rainy day and could not have been happier. Miles in the woods for hikers and bikers.

The Rope Mill Park is getting better and better. There is a 1/4 mile paved trail that you can walk on. For the adventurous soul, you can continue on the steep paths past the sidewalk. If you choose to cross the bridge, you will find a path through the woods that you can travel as well. This is a nice path along the river, but it does get muddy at times, so be careful of that.Great park for walking your dogs.Mountain biking trails are also available.

I live around this area, so I frequent here. I love going with friends here and biking the old trail, and now, hiking the newly found trail across the river. I use the Olde Rope Mill park for my recreation, and it's becoming better and better, and expanding rapidly to suit everyone's outdoor needs. Being offered is a nice beginning bike trail, some decent fishing (I've caught catfish and even bass from here, it leads to Allatoona), and a nice walking hike. During the summer months when the river is higher, I even go swimming with friends in it. It's a nice small local river.
