You can't see it up close, but there are different views of the building from around Jerome and in every one it's a pretty view.

Looks great from afar! You cannot get close to it. THe private driveway has a chain across it to keep people out. I guess I can understand that. You can see it from the Grand Hotel.

A part of this years historic houses tour it was very interesting to see how it was constructed and used

The building known as the Powder Box Church is now a private residence. You can see it from the lower road – an interesting building built by Mexicans with stucco, wire mesh, and blasting powder boxes. Racial prejudice was rampant in those early days and the other congregation would not allow Mexicans into their church.

My husband Michael and I where lucky enough to elope to this beautiful place in Jerome. We were told by the photographer that we hired that this place would be the place to be married....and we let him be the judge of it...and he was correct in how he said it was beautiful and we would love it. Someday I hope we can have friends and family come here to share our love in an aniversary celebration!
