This is by far the most beautiful and scenic golf course in Arizona. It's located on the Arizona and California border, about 150 miles from Phoenix, west on I-10 to 95 and about 35 miles north on 95. We stayed overnight at the Blue Wave Casino and had a tee time the next morning. You really need to take your camera for all the scenic views. Yardage is 6437, fairly easy for women. This course is located at 7351 Riverside Dr. Parker, AZ

We hadn't played this course in over 10 years... But it was just as fun and different as we remembered! Great scenery, you have to shoot thru narrow canyons on some of the shots. Course is in great shape; the biggest problem is that it's "the only game in town" in Parker...so it's always busy during the winter. We had an 11:00 am tee time & didn't get off until 11:22.....but having said that we still finished in under 4-1/2 hours...we just were waiting on EVERY hole, which does make it hard to get into any kind of rhythm. They have a number of course spotters/player assistants...some that use stop signs/green sides on holes with blind shots to tell you when it's safe to go. Their old gas carts are ready for some modernization... We had trouble with ours, as did the guy we were paired with.

a beautiful golf course on the Colorado River. So many beautiful views from this course. Very well kept for a county course, better than any others in the area twice the price

This is a great desert course which winds through canyons and has a number of elevated tee boxes. Very scenic. There is no walking as it has some pretty steep stretches (carts are gas). They keep it up very nicely, even in the heat of the summer and greens are always very good. Worth going a little out of your way to play.

Emerald Canyon Golf Course is truly a "jewel". It is located about 25 miles south of Lake Havasu City, in Parker, AZ. The green fees are very reasonable, especially for what you get. It is a typical desert course with expected green fairways and greens set against the brown of the desert, but the course offers an interesting layout as you play through the canyons. The view of the desert and mountains as work your way up to top of the course is magnificent.

After hearing our friends tell us about how great a course Emerald Canyon is my husband and I decided to play it. We've played beautiful golf courses across this fabulous country of ours and unfortunately, Emerald Canyon is not what we expected. Yes, it is cut through the canyon but the playing field itself is very flat and the holes, with the exception of maybe 3, have no real interest to them. The fairways are pretty bald and muddy after watering but the tee boxes and greens are in great condition. Take extra golf balls and do not go searching for errant shots, there are rattle snakes and other biting critters on this course, it's a golf ball, enough said. Unfortunately, we do not plan on going back.

We have golfed in some beautiful places &challenging places, but this was one of the most fun courses I have been on. It has it all. It isn't intimidating in a way you might expect but it has some shots you will never find in most any other place. You have the opportunity to shoot from a cliff probably 2-300 ft high ! There is so much more and it really is a natural beauty. Can't wait to go back in October.

Actually, we haven't been there for awhile, but have golfed there at least 4-5 times. It is a hard course but the challenges are some you wouldn't expect out in a desert/rocky area. Fairways are kept nicely. I say enjoy the ride!

No matter your golfing skill level, you should definitely make this a stop. A great mix of holes for every kind of golfer. Winding cart path that goes under the highway a couple times, through the canyon, tee shots on tops of cliffs. Hands down the most beautiful course I have played at, and the cost was SO much more reasonable than I expected!! Staff was a lot of fun - very friendly! I would recommend this as a must-see, even if you don't golf and you just want to see amazing views riding along in the cart!

Hi gang, Played here Mar 2014 on my way to Tucson and Phoenix. Paid $55 w/cart, you really can't walk, too far from some greens to the next tee. Literally carved out of a mountain the course starts off simple with a coupla holes flat then starts with the elevation changes. There are tee shots that'll require you to thread your shot 'tween huge boulders, some shots are blind and another will drop over 200 ft !! It helps tremendously to get a yardage guide or play with a local. There are two holes where a blind tee shot is monitored by spotters with stop signs. They will offer you a stop sign to make sure the group ahead is clear then flip the sign to reveal a green side to allow you to hit. Nice touch. They even had a man by the 18th green to clean your clubs when you're done !! I recommend to anyone in the Parker area to make this a must play. It's 8 mi out of town situated in a county park. The scenery and geology is very interesting. Most notable is the 17th, a long downhill par 5 that has you hitting a blind tee shot (w/spotter on the corner) some 250 yds to the edge of a 100+ Ft drop off to a lower fairway with little room for error. The views from the top of the fairway of the Colorado River and desert beyond are memorable. You won't be disappointed, just be sure to bring enuff golf balls.Rich

Lots of fun regardless of skill, reccomend everyone should try it out, just lots of fun and the staff are great, the golf carts are old but the beauty of the course makes uo for that.

We had a friend who raved about the course every year when he vacationed there. We went down to try it this year when he was there. Are we glad we did! The course was in very good condition and had the most amazing holes to play! Tee shots through canyons, par 3s from the top of cliffs along with beautiful views. If you're ever in the Parker area, you've got to take the time to play here.

Hard to describe this place. Gimmicky comes to mind. Very narrow fairways, extremely fast greens, and a par 5 for men that is a par 3 for women. The funny thing is the staff treats everyone like they are there to tear the place up. Militant player assistants skulk around the course just waiting for someone to stray from the path so they can swoop down and excoriate the offender. In the café, I ordered 2 beers and asked them to put them into a cooler with a little ice so they would be cold, a service that is always available. The waitress warned me in no uncertain terms that I was not allowed by law to bring my own beer on the course. I had to explain to her that I was buying beer from her, in case it had slipped her notice. Lots of wind here most of the time. Indeed, we had 30-40 mph winds the first day we played, making for an interesting day.

I went golfing here with my son and daughter. The staff was very accommodating and friendly to my children and me. The course was well manicured, challenging and the staff kept the play moving and monitored the course well. As always, the Parker weather was perfect! Go check it out....you will be glad you did!

If you ever get a chance to play this course, DO NOT PASS IT UP. It is the most beautiful course I have ever played. Very reasonable. Do not plan to walk, because you can't. Far too long and so many altitudes. It is inexpensive for what you get. I really can't describe it, it is something you have to experience.
